The only saving grace with this restaurant would probably have to be it's decor/art and even that's not great. Today, I ate lunch here and it was not busy at all; probably about only 3 tables. I first ordered a sandwich, to which from my last experience here years ago was very very good, was not great. The service was extremely slow, even for just a sandwich and when I received it, the grilled pork was cold and not freshly made like it should be.
Afterwards, I ordered a bowl of rice and even then that took about 5 minutes for the restaurant to produce. A single bowl of rice should not take even 2 minutes to bring out, especially if the restaurant is dead during lunch hours.
The nail in the coffin was the Che Ba Mau, the 3 color dessert. Usually, I'd order this elsewhere but I thought about trying it out here. That was a very displeasing mistake. I asked for the dessert to be served here, but it was brought to me about half full with just ice cubes. The worst part of this was that the dessert looked liked the beans in the dessert was foul/bad. I know when you mix up this dessert, it should have a brownish mixture of colors to it but the beans in the Che Ba Mau here is very VERY bad. Bad taste, not enough of the other desserts, overall I left the restaurant feeling like I drank something rotten.
On other occasions where I've ordered takeout, their Com Chien Bo Luc Lac is not very special.
In conclusion, as a patron I expected so much more out of the restaurant especially if they are known for...

So 2 co-workers and I were on our way to my last supper (I quit the job after lunch, the pho had nothing to do it that). We were all jazzed to go to our favorite pho spot across the street when we realized they were closed on Thursday’s. No sweat another not-so-helpful co worker told us about Saigon, said it was right across the street and was just as good, we believed him.
So we pull up to a strip mall which is nice by Margate standards and horrible by first-world standards, and enter the nearly empty dining room with a stage in it (why tho?) and sit down to order. My buddy and I split a chicke. banh mi which was fairly tasty but light on chicken and the bread was ehhh. The pho which we were excited for was absolutely terrible. The broth tasted like piss and the meatballs had bone fragments in it, the silver lining was one person ordered chicken fried rice which was somewhat decent. All in all I’d...
Read moreThis place needs a more prime location or something because I do NOT understand how there’s not a line out the door! It truly is a HIDDEN GEM! I’ve become a bit addicted to their filet mignon & shrimp friend rice (I buy both and mix it!)! BEST fried rice to date! If this place were open late I’d really be in trouble! I’ve had their pho too which is yummy! Always hot and fresh! The tastes are always rich & bold, meat juicy & tender, I could rant all day! Eventually, I’ll expand and try more from the menu but I’m sticking to my favorites for now lol No photo to include cuz I devoured it already so you’ll have to take my word for it! :) They’re on UberEats, but if you go get it yourself, you’ll have more money to spend on their FOOD instead haha...
