Tribe Tea Kava Lounge — Restaurant in Margate

Tribe- it’s sort of difficult to talk about a place that has completely changed and saved my life. I was struggling with alcohol and partying all the time. I was constantly drinking and being around people that were not helping me succeed in life. I came to Tribe to see what It was all about. I was blown away by the people that were working there. This place was very welcoming and I felt comfortable sharing my story with them. They let me know that I will be OK and encouraged me to try their kava and teas. Never before had I ever tried this kind of drink. It tasted very good and It gave me a good feeling. I went back the next day after not drinking any alcohol for 24 hours (which was a huge deal for me) and the next day following and that continued for 48 days today. I feel so comfortable inside this building. This place is like an onion when you unfold it there’s different layers. Over the past 48 days these people became more than friends. They became my family. They check on me daily. They are genuine andcaring people. Every morning when I wake up, I read a text or a message from someone from the Tribe. Just checking in.

Joe- Joe has become a mentor to me he’s someone I look up to, like an older brother. Every time I’m in there, Joe is talking to people and welcoming them to the tribe. He loves to listen to people, and he remembers their stories, and he genuinely cares. Joes knowledge on cava is incredible. a lot of people call Joe the sensei of Cava.

Rose- I don’t know where to begin when talking about Rose there’s so many amazing things I can say about this woman. Rose has a heart that is bigger than the planet earth. She is the most caring human being I’ve ever met in my entire life. Rose has treated me like her son and has shown me what a true friend is. Rose is someone that will hug you every time you walk into the building. You will definitely know who she is by her laugh and smile. I am truly honored to have this person a part of my life.

Tyriq- you have been reeked. This man has taken me under his wing and has treated me like his son. He is always asking how I’m doing and what is going on in my life and genuinely cares about me. If there is one person in this world that I look up to it is him. His heart and his love for people in genuine. Everyday I aspire to be more like Tyriq

Olivia, Devin- I would consider these two people two of my closest friends. Although I’ve only known them for for 48 days, I consider them family. Devin loves sports like I do. He is always making me laugh and he keeps the energy in Tribe alive. Olivia is the sweetest girl you’ll ever meet. She is so funny, she’s very decorative and has very good ideas. I love talking with Olivia and Devin. They create great conversation and are two peas in a pod.

The moment I step inside, I'm greeted by an aesthetically pleasing decor that sets the stage for a comfortable and inviting atmosphere; it's thoughtfully curated to offer a diverse range of vibes in every corner. Whether I'm seeking a cozy corner to dive into my computer work or a more lively space to catch up with a friend, Tribe Tea Lounge has it all. I often find myself standing in the center, contemplating which seating suits my mood for the day—a testament to the lounge’s versatility.

One of the standout features of Tribe Tea Lounge is the attention to detail when it comes to cleanliness. The bathrooms are always pristine, and the entire place exudes a sense of cleanliness and orderliness that enhances the overall experience.

But what truly sets Tribe apart is the dedication of the team, especially Joe, one of the owners, who creates all the herbal concoctions. Every drink on the specialty menu is a testament to his expertise and creativity, and I've yet to try one that I haven't enjoyed. From refreshing teas to innovative functional blends, each sip is a new and exciting experience that has encouraged me to work my way through their specialty drink menu.

Moreover, the staff at Tribe Tea Lounge are more than just employees; they're genuinely friendly, pleasant and welcoming individuals who go out of their way to ensure that every customer feels valued and taken care of. Whether it's a warm greeting when you walk in or attentive service throughout your visit, the team at Tribe truly embodies the spirit of warm hospitality. I found Tribe Tea Lounge through Kira the kavatender’s Instagram post about vegan donuts, and I’m so glad I did! S/O to Kira for her awesome videos & friendly energy. I went to a vegan brunch event and was really impressed by how welcoming and kind everyone was. The energy here is amazing- positive, creative, and uplifting.

The rest of the staff, including Devon, Joe, Raven, and Dom, are just as incredible- kind, sweet, and genuinely caring. They make you feel safe and welcomed, which can be hard to come by nowadays, and it’s clear they truly enjoy connecting with people.

Tribe hosts all kinds of fun events like live performances, brunches, anime/cosplay nights, markets, movie nights, creative nights, raves, bingo, poker, and even 24-hour Fridays. It’s one of the most unique and lively kava bars I’ve been to. There’s an event for everyone’s interests. There’s also a pool table, a cozy book library, instruments to play, and lots of space to chill and connect.

The owner, Miss Rose, is incredibly thoughtful and it shows- from the clean, beautifully decorated space to the stocked bathrooms with feminine products and great lighting. You can tell she truly cares about her customers and staff.
