GC Pawn #4 - Gold N Connection LLC — Local services in Margate

I have been to multiple pawn shops throughout the country over the years and I have never walked into a pawn shop that was so clean and inviting as GC Pawn in Margate, FL. I was greeted with a friendly smile and was asked "how can we help you today" as I walked in the door. The woman that greeted me 1st was Jadine, she was so kind and friendly, she made me feel so comfortable. Pawn shops can be very depressing to me but GC Pawn in Margate, FL was the exact opposite. Once I told Jadine what I was there for, she referred me to the store manager Seth. Seth was incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable on the items I had brought into the store. He explained to me what the process was and again made me feel so comfortable. I told him why I had to pawn some of my personal items to help pay for surgery for my dog. He was so compassionate and I truly felt that he cared about my situation. Seth was able to help my burden and that is priceless. I felt I was given a fair price for my items which will help me finance the surgery for my dog. That might sound ridiculous to some people but to me it was everything. I could not write a better review which is so deserving to the team at GC Pawn in Margate. I will recommend them to anyone that might be in a tough spot. They truly care about their customers. They get a 5 out of 5 stars !!!! They are without a doubt the nicest most honest people I have ever met in a Pawn Shop. THEY ARE LIARS!!!!!! DO NOT SELL YOUR JEWELRY HERE!!!! THEY WILL STEAL THE VALUE OFF OF YOUR JEWELRY.

I took my items to their shop and they appraised my jewelry at 14K even though it was marked 18K. They told me it was miss marked and they “really shouldn’t even buy it off of me”. She took almost $100 off the value due to it “really being 14K”. Since it was a Cartier dupe and my husband recently bought me a real one I didn’t really care and sold it. Out of curiosity I had her appraise two other pieces of jewelry of mine that I knew were 18K gold and she told me the same thing, they were 14K.

I went back to the pawn shop a few weeks later to see if they can provide paperwork that the jewelry I still owned was 14k and not 18k to take back to the person that sold it to me. In front of my eyes the girl infront of me was getting lied to. He told her the EXACT same thing he told me, “oh actually your bracelet is 18K not 22K”. The girl was disappointed but still sold her bracelet. He noticed me after he made that statement and seemed nervous. At that point I didn’t trust them at all.

I took those two other bracelets to THREE other jewelers. And they said no they lied they are 18K gold.
