Pollo Tropical — Restaurant in Margate

The amount of disappointment that I experienced at the Atlantic Blvd, Margate branch (store# 10124) was truly despicable. I placed my order online and it was due to be ready @ 1:06 pm.

After entering, I stood next to the pickup section and watched more disorganized chaos then I’ve every seen at any restaurant!

There were people waiting to place orders and receive orders alike. No one was attentive and even worse they purposely ignored those trying to order food??? I called on a few of the workers and they either kept walking or stood looking like a zombie at me. I also witnessed those coming back for missing items as well.

I asked where the manager was at one point and a lady pointed in her direction. The manager moved to a different area instead of coming over to help. Finally, I call her and asked if she was a manager- to which she replied, “I’m coming.”

Once I had her attention and advised how disappointed I was at how disrespectful and rude her workers were and my overall lack of satisfaction about how things were so poorly managed- The she said: Is there something wrong with my food?!!”

I said it’s about your terrible service and the lack of any level of customer service. She just looked at me and I asked for her name, she said her name is Vally.

I left to call to give feedback on the establishments phone service after a few minutes. I was advised to leave a message. Just wow!!! Totally unacceptable on all levels. This deserves...

I should have known something was wrong from the beginning I pulled into Pollo Tropical around 1 for lunch which is usually completely busy most Pollo Tropical's you have about a 20 minute wait in the Drive-Thru. At least at most locations. So I went inside because they were not busy. I ordered my husband's chicken with his side's and I ordered my chicken with some fried yuca. When they gave me my tray the yuca wasn't there. she actually looked at me confused when I asked what it was like she didn't even know what it was. So she goes ahead and drop some in the fryer we take the rest of our food store table and my husband's food was given some cold like cold cold yet they had a lot of chicken on the grill... ??? when I go back to ask for new chicken the manager looks at me and gets an attitude but gets me more chicken. I go back up a couple minutes later a second time so I can get my yuca she looks at me and said yeah can I help you I said I'm just waiting for the rest of my food she rolled her eyes and continue doing what she was doing. Finally got my yuca and went back to my table. We finished up eating we had a lot of food left so I went to go get I togo a box where I was given one but received more attitude again from the manager mind you. Finally figured out why the place was so empty. Don't waste your time going there unless you don't have a problem with cold food and attitude as a paying customer. On July 28, 2018, 8:50PM my husband and I entered the Pollo Tropical located at 5425 W Atlantic Blvd, Margate, FL 33063. There was no cashier and where was the Manager, we were the only customers in line. A cashier finally came to serve us, with his plate of food behind the cash register because he was eating. While he was taking the order, one of the employees jumped over the counter TWICE. This is a counter where food is served. Then onto our beverages, there was no utensils or ice for the beverages. And the employees in the back were horsing around and laughing. While the restaurant looked so poorly. All the tables were filthy with food on them. Not one table was cleaned. I had to get napkins and wipe down the tables. The restrooms looked like they were never cleaned during the day, it was so disgusting! My major complaint is this is the worst kept Pollo Tropical I have ever encountered, not to mention no one to take care of the customers. Very disappointing.
