My friend was looking for a nice Asian restaurant near his sister place in Tamarac and found this place. Which is 18 minutes away. When we arrive there are some tables that are occupied means not yet busy. A staff greeted us and lead us to our table. Gave us water and menu. After a few minutes we are ready to order. My friend wanted the hot pot so that his two sisters can try it too. We been to many hot pot but this place I am not that sure because they don’t really cater a good hot pot. But my friend insisted the hot pot so I agreed. A few minutes later our ordered came. As seen in the photos. It’s been 10,20,30 minutes and the pot hasn’t boiled yet. The soup is hot but still not that hot to cook everything. We just talk and looking at the tv screen to occupy ourselves while waiting for the hotpot to cook. I am so disappointed already so I just grab my spoon and scoop the soup and put some noodles. After an hour or so the four of us finish the hot pot. That time the place is already full. We been waiting for 15 minutes already and no one approached us to ask if we are done or ok or need anything else. I was raising my hand to call their attention. After a few attempts a guys approached us and I told him we are done but we wanted a sticky rice with mango for desert. He just said wait a minutes and go to another table to get their orders. We waited patiently, 10 minutes came still no sticky rice. My friend just shouted to the staff out bill so we can just go. He again said wait a minute. I told him it’s been 10 minutes since you told us that. He came back to us in his hands in a plastic the sticky rice but no mango. I told him never mind just give us our bill. So my recommendation, don’t order the hot pot and I also don’t recommend this place as they are slow in service. If you visit this place try their other menu. Sorry but we are not going to return to this place again.

An authentic vietnamese restaurant in a converted IHOP in Broward! Not your usual Pho dishes either. They have whelk, clams and other seafood not usually seen outside of vietnamese restaurants in Houston or California! We visited with 12 people on a Sunday evening. The catfish clay pot was excellent and you can tell the caramelized sauce is home made and not from a packet. The seafood hot pot for two was perfect to share and had clams, pompano, calamari among other things. Comes with shrimp too. The Bahn Xeo was very good, crispy crepe and perfect amount of pork and shrimp inside. The sour soup was very tasty but was more sweet than I was used to. The chicken beef phos were all terrific. We ordered so many dishes we lost track! Go for the food! The minor quibble is around the wine. They have one cab, one merlot and one Pinot grigio. None of them are very good - think clos dubois. The price was reasonable as bottle prices go at $32. We tried one of their bottles and decided for the second bottle to use our own. Corkage fee was $25 per bottle which is very unreasonable when you are selling $8 clos dubois as the only house option. A more reasonable corkage fee of $10 or so, or even like most Asian restaurants, not even charge corkage would have been more customer friendly - especially in our case as we already bought one of their bottles and reused the same four glasses.

What a great local spot for authentic Vietnamese food. It is inside of what use to be a iHop or village inn type building. They have updated and renovated nicely. They even have outdoor seating that is screened in. Inside they have booths on the sides and tables in the middle. Bright, fresh and clean. Ordering was simple with their menu. Plenty of photos and numbers. Food came out amazingly fast well. Order pork and shrimp spring rolls. They were just the way they should be and came served with a nice peanut dipping sauce. Order the Pho with meatballs and rare beef. It was a nice portion accompanied by a plate of fresh veggies and herbs. The broth has a cinnamon base with with something else maybe cardamom. It is not overwhelming just a nice base and flavor that isn't masked. The noodles were fresh, they were a little softer than I'd like but I believe cause they were not dried out noodles. Great meal and nice relaxing atmosphere with friendly fast service!

I had been here more than once although I already knew that this is always the absolute worst customer service just because I like their food! For now I understand why this place was not busy at all and only one table when I came in. Today I was so disappointed and frustrated throughout my entire meal with my mom. I ordered a Fish Sour Soup without rice or vermicelli because I could not eat them so I asked the waitress politely if they were be able to add more vegetables instead in the soup, and then she nodded her head while taking order by hand. My mom also got a Beef Stew with egg noodle. After finishing, I felt like to get a stomach pain and ended up going to bathroom. Food is tasteless and not good as before. The most unexpected thing is when the bill coming out. They charged me an extra $7.95 for a plate of vegetables which I did not order alongside the service fee ($14)??? I asked her as to my bill and I got a stare from the waitress. She explained that she thought I did order an extra and refused to refund except for $2, and for the service fee she stated this is an automatic tip (15%) being added to customers' bills due to the pandemic. WHAT??? Hold on, 15% of my bill total $71.98 is not even equal $14, it costs only around $11. I have never seen this kind of behavior in the U.S. Tip is something you give by your own if you really felt like giving out, and I am also an excellent tipper for any kind services but this place is NOT worth a penny. Every time I need something, none of the waitresses or waiters ever give me any attention or make an eye contact with. Until my mom spoke up and talked to her, the waitress unpleasantly admitted her fault for not listening clearly and reluctantly agreed to take $7.95+$14 out of the check. She too did not forget to mention that she had to pay for that plate by her own money with a bad attitude. As I previously said above, I do not mind tipping regardless of how bad service was, I left them $8 on the table and walked out passing by her. She was really bothersome and did not greet us or say thank you. Horrible experience! What a shame to have treated us this way. I won't ever set foot in your restaurant again. I thought I would have gone back here despite the rude staffs, but right now both food and employees are downhill. I recommend that you save the headaches + money and go somewhere else for proper customer service.

RESPONSE TO REPLY: I do not know who wrote a response, but why do all of people working here blatantly lie? In the event of customers ordering something different than the menu, the servers are responsible for telling the fact if the establishment does not accept it while taking order. In my situation, however, she did not even say anything other than nodding her head + saying OKAY to show a consent and now blamed everything on me as if I ordered but do not want to pay??? Very dishonest and hypocritical in speech. How can such a business scam customers by automatically adding unknown fees just because they are too empty? She should have known that she was very lucky that I left $8 on the table because it was NOT for the bad customer service, it was for kitchen who prepared the food for us. Like I said earlier, servers are not DESERVED a penny because of how disrespectful they are since the first day I went here. Another lie is "because they been asking your guy many time in the pass". NO, you did not ask for tips in the PAST not "PASS", sir/ma'am, but you showed your attitude instead. I hope you won't be doing that to other customers cause You Can’t Always Be Lucky. Running a business effective is to keep customers satisfied and making profits from them. Stop playing smart to lose business in...

Oh my god. This used to be my very favorite authentic Vietnamese restaurant, but just discovered today that it probably changed to a new owner, and the food and service went straight downhill. If you are a long time returning customer like me, just don’t come!

I enjoyed coming here all the time for lunch. The waitress and the waiter always greeted me warmly, and remembered my usual go-to noodles soups. I usually always ordered the duck or the Vietnamese style chicken noodle soups, and the soups used to be always full of rich flavor with thick cut meat, I could never finish one soup by myself.

But holly cow! I went here today again for lunch, I immediately noticed I didn’t recognize anyone there. It used to always be kinda full during lunch time, but there was barely one or two tables today. The restaurant staff were not busily working on the floor but talking really loud in the background.

I ignored all the red flags and proceeded with ordering chicken noodles soup. Geez! There was barely any chicken in the soup to start with, the very limited chicken inside were all wasted corner pieces of a regular chicken, like half of the top tip of the chicken wing etc, I’ve never had such low quality chicken in a Vietnamese restaurant ever. Almost felt like someone ate my chicken in the soup prior to serving it to me, and only left the pieces they didn’t want to eat. I used to never be able to finish one noodles soup here by myself, but today I finished it all and still didn’t feel full. Needless to say the flavor was below the standard too.

At that time I realized it’s probably under new ownership now, and the new owner plans to cut the quality to make more profit.

The service was also really not so great on that day. I liked the old service team especially the waitress a lot, she was one of the main reason I liked this place so much. The waiter on that day was someone I’ve never seen before, and he did not provide a decent service.

Even though there were only one or two tables today there, but the waiter couldn’t wait to kick the quietly-eating-by-myself me. Before I even finished eating, the waiter took the plate I was using to place bones. I asked for water refill and napkins, the waiter ignored my request of napkins, and refilled water in a very unwilling way. Like he poured a little, then asked me if it was enough; I told him it was not and asked for more, then he poured a little more. Why he went so cheap on water refill!? Isn’t that just tap water? He also asked me if I wanted the check several times when I was still actively eating. Icing on the cake, He is not Asian, and judging by my eastern Asian appearance, he assumed I was Vietnamese and directly asked me so. I’m not Vietnamese, and I also wasn’t sure why my ethnicity was even a related topic in this dining experience, as he isn’t neither the ethnicity nor speaks the language, and we did not chat at all during the whole dining experience besides he started this ethnicity related topic out of sudden.

I don’t think I’ll come back ever again unless the old owner takes it back. Or at least bring the waitress back please, this experience...
