American Deli — Restaurant in Marietta

First, I'll point out that this location is under new management. So figure it's worth a try, right?

I've never been to an American Deli ad drive by them all the time but now I know the draw. It's a fast casual with value. For example, I got the burger ($6) that comes with a mound of fries and a drink. The burger was very flavorful and well cooked, not too greasy or dry. The size is what the Whopper used to be 15 years ago. Basically, big. The MOST important thing for me is crispy fries. Soggy fries make me sad. The fries were crispy and plentiful. The wings come in a $9 set with 10 pieces (I asked for sweet chili and teriyaki), celery, and a drink. Great deal. Yes, the wings are smaller but anything bigger is $15 for an equivalent set. The wings were cooked well so it was the right amount of crispy b/c who likes soggy wings, bro. The flavor was good. Particularly, they don't reuse oil that much so the wings and fries were tasty.

The interior is plain but the owner said they're starting an interior renovation soon. There is seating for about 30 people. The restaurant is located next to the Game Stop and GNC Nutrition facing Walmart. There are 3 TV menus as well.

AMERICAN DELI STOLE MY MONEY! BAD BUSINESS! If I could give 0 stars I would. I placed a $48 order over the phone. The employee then said she could take my payment over the phone (come to find out she wasn’t supposed to take my card over the phone so that’s why the charge didn’t go through). I was charged the $48 but was told it didn’t go through on their side and to expect the money back by the end of the day so I gave it 24 hours to process since it was saying pending on my end (they also told me if I wanted the food I would have to spend another $48). The transaction no longer said pending and that the money went through on their end. I asked for a refund and was denied so now I have to dispute the charge with my bank. I no longer trust this place to do business with them and I recommend choosing a different location to spend...

I always come to this location and pretty much get the same thing. Grilled chicken salad or a 10 piece mild combo. I got both yesterday and about two hours later I wasn’t feeling well. I didn’t eat the salad in one sitting, I would eat some them watch tv then each more. I eventually took one of the grilled chicken pieces and cut it open and it was slightly pink. My heart dropped and I said oh no I’ve been eating under cooked chicken. My stomach has been in knots ever since, I keep sweating, and I’m just very uncomfortable to the point where I don’t want to eat anything else. I know nothing will be done about it but just wanted them to be aware and to cook the chicken all the way through...
