Boyfriend and I went for the first time this past Friday. We stayed for about 2 hours in the back room enjoying the selection of vinyl records, food, and drinks. All of the staff was amazing, super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and had great recommendations. Wish I had gotten the names of the two baristas working that day, they were awesome! Even met the new owner Doug, I believe is his name? Great guy! Of course originally we didn’t know it was the owner and friends, but we felt a little awkward walking into the vinyl room when we saw people already there, but Doug was awesome and encouraged us to play whatever we wanted. You can tell he’s truly someone who has a passion for good music. Even threw us a free record! We did end up buying 4 others at amazing prices $5-10 each. Great selection! Doug if you’re reading this you had a sweet copy of Janet Jackson’s That’s The Way Love Goes hiding out in there! We each had a bacon and cheese burrito, and tried the Banana Co, the Crypt Keeper, and an iced matcha latte at the baristas’ suggestion. 10/10 on all the drinks! As someone who doesn’t drink coffee but loves coffee shops (I know right?) I really appreciated the variety of non-coffee options. The Banana Co is a chai based drink that was like drinking banana pudding. Blew my socks clean off, I still dream about it 😭. They don’t charge extra for milk alternatives (except Breve, but hey can’t blame ya on that one) The burritos were a tad salty, but the INCLUDED guacamole really balanced it out. All in all, a true gem of a place. It’s so rare now to find a place really knock it out of the park on service, food/drink quality, AND atmosphere, all without feeling like you’re being milked for every penny. If this place wasn’t so far from me I would truly be a regular, even still I think I’ll be taking the trip pretty regularly. Great job everyone 👏 I don’t even write reviews this long anymore 😂 LONG LIVE MR. TOMBSTONE’S 🫡

Mr. Tombstone’s Coffee Emporium isn’t just another coffee shop — it’s an experience. From the moment I walked in, I could feel how much thought and personality went into this place. The skulls, the gothic décor, and all the little details immediately caught my eye. Instead of feeling dark or heavy, the vibe is surprisingly warm, cozy, and welcoming. It’s the kind of spot where you can grab a drink, settle into a corner, and lose track of time. The drinks are on point. My latte was smooth and flavorful, with syrups that taste like they’re made in-house. You can tell the people here actually care about what they’re serving. Every sip felt like it matched the atmosphere perfectly. I also loved that the music, the decorations, and even the little touches of vinyl and games around the shop make it feel more like a hangout than just a place to grab caffeine. :) What really stood out to me was the balance this place pulls off — spooky and bold in style, yet still cozy and relaxing in feel. It’s got personality in every corner without trying too hard. Honestly, I wish more coffee shops leaned into character like this. I’ll definitely be coming back, and if you’re even a little curious, you should check it too.

I have traveled around the world, and have never experienced a coffee house like this. They have manifested at atmosphere that captures a much needed market. How to describe the environment: Its Wiccan/pagan naturalistic new age semi gothic-ish...but combined with a open community common grounds that hosts a vast variety of activities to do through the months. From live music, to pottery, movie nights, to dried flower workshops. It's an open invitation. Its not all show. Their coffee, drinks, pastries etc. All hold their own and are worth the price. Overall it quickly became my favorite spot for the two weeks I was in Georgia. A+

I’ve been looking forward to coming here for over a month and for one reason or another never made it in until today and… I was pretty let down.

The coffee was great! So this spot is a must for a good cup. However, everything else was a bust. Ordered a muffin and two breakfast burritos. We got our coffees and were later told that the muffin we ordered wasn’t available anymore. Okay, let’s just get that refunded. The burritos will be fine.

After waiting 30 mins, we ask about our order and no one knows what we’re talking about. One of the folks says they’ll get right on it. We wait another 5-10 and they come out one at a time. No one apologizes for the mistake or the wait, just “here ya go!” Small and overcooked. The tortilla was stuck to the paper and hard like it had been cooked too long.

Given the circumstances, I go up front to get a receipt for the refunded muffin. They can’t find my ticket. They list off 5 or 6 orders that aren’t mine. I repeat my full order and am sure to mention that the breakfast burritos were put in really late. Again, zero acknowledgement. Eventually, I’m just handed cash for my refund and there was never a “sorry about that!”

I’ve worked in restaurants, bakeries and coffee shops for years and things happen. You get a rush and things slip. We are all human. But that works both ways and accountability matters. Apologize for an error and try to make it right.

Some constructive feedback for the team at Mr. Tombstones:

  1. have the cashier hand orders from the pastry case to the customers as soon as they order. It gives the customer something to nibble on while they wait for their coffee and as a bonus, you don’t oversell an item and have to process a refund. Win-win!
  2. in the case of the cashier not communicating a food order: talk to the customer. Apologize for the error and assure them it’s being worked on and will be out ASAP. Offer something small in the meantime. “Sorry we missed your ticket, did you want a little more coffee or a mini croissant for the meantime? We are working on it right now and it should be out soon!” Even if you don’t offer something else, a sincere apology diffuses the situation and assure the guest that things are being taken care of.

I like the coffee here but the overall experience was pretty terrible. I sincerely hope they get more organized and develop a better understanding of food service to help...

A Local Gem with Spooky Charm and Serious Flavor!

Mr. Tombstone’s Coffee Emporium is hands down the coziest, quirkiest, and most delicious spot in town! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the rich aroma of fresh espresso and the warm, welcoming vibe of a haunted hideaway (in the best possible way). The décor is delightfully themed without being over-the-top, blending old-world charm with a playful nod to the spooky season—all year long!

Let’s talk drinks: their seasonal menu is next level. Whether it’s a pumpkin spice cold brew topped with cinnamon “ghost” foam in the fall or a summer special like the Iced Blackberry Ghoul-aid Latte, there’s always something fun, festive, and downright delicious to try. Even the classics are done to perfection, with bold, smooth flavor and just the right touch of flair.

Now for the food—do not skip the breakfast menu! The buttermilk biscuit sandwiches are flaky, buttery heaven, and the “Cemetery Sunrise Bowl” (a fan favorite!) layers eggs, cheese, avocado, and hashbrowns like a dream. There’s something for everyone, whether you’re craving sweet, savory, or vegetarian options.

The staff is upbeat, friendly, and clearly passionate about what they do, which makes the whole experience even better. It’s rare to find a place with such personality and consistent quality. Mr. Tombstone’s Coffee Emporium isn’t just a coffee shop—it’s a must-visit destination that puts the fun back in functional caffeine.

Highly recommend to anyone who loves great coffee, inventive drinks, and breakfast that actually makes you excited to...
