So, 3 stars for food, 5 for service, and 4 for the atmosphere. 1st I want to mention the service. Excellent!! To the employees who were on the clock. You are champions in the face of what felt like defeat. There were 3 when I arrived. 3 minutes later, there were 2. Continuing to fight the good fight. When I arrived, the drive thru was maxed out and continued on that way for my stay. All the while, this team was forging forward at a steady, unyielding pace. Obviously tired and earning more than what I am assuming they are getting paid. They earned 5 stars and 1 for personal fortitude, as well as still having manners with a somewhat disheartened smile. 2nd, we have food with 3 stars. This isn't on the employees. 1st time I ever had anything from there that wasn't good. It was just off almost a little watered down. It's fine, but as I began to dive into a bit before. It is the responsibility of upper management as well as the owners/ corporations to ensure proper staffing. Employees need a well organized environment, along with a team! Without these things. You do really have a store. Because you can't keep employees. I preach this stuff all the time. Companies will spend tons on Jack of nothing š, and cut labor and everything else under the sun to save a buck ( advertising ). This is an example of how to lose good employees. 3rd atmosphere. The atmosphere would have been better, but there was their recent delivery of supplies sitting out. They receive a good amount of stuff for the type of business. I was surprised. So this is basically already covered in the previously mentioned writing. So yes, this is an extremely long review. The reason behind this is an attempt to help those employees as well as a corporation that helps to drive us all forward throughout the day. So this is directed to the corporate office. Maybe it can bring attention to something that needs it. In closing, 15+yrs of experience in customer service food and retail, 8 years U.S. Army. I have been in some form of management at almost every job I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe baristas in this specific location are the worst of any Starbucks Iāve ever been to in my life and Iāve been to this location enough to judge them fairly over a long period of time. Whatās most tragic is that these baristas canāt pour a simple cup of coffee with milk or half and half, even when itās just a matter of following the directions on their screen or the sticker on the cup. They always add the milk to the top of the coffee and never add as much as requested and never mix it into the coffee. Why do I say itās ānever as much as requestedā? Because I use the same terminology at Starbucks all over America and in other countries and almost never get coffee thatās too dark, except for this location across from the Samās club in Marion, IL. Itās not a regional or small town issue because the Starbucks at Kroger, less than a mile away, and the one in Carbondale about 20 miles away both take my order and make it the way I want with enough frequency that the off times are a fluke but this one location I. Marion, IL has gotten it correct maybe once, maybe, out of roughly two hundred times or more. Iāve spoken to numerous store managers in person and over the phone, two general or district managers by phone, and written corporate and NOTHING. I give up. They should change the name of this store to Starbucksā One-Off Milkshake Store, because thatās what they seem to know...
Ā Ā Ā Read morethe slowest starbucks i have ever been to. iāve been in the drive through for 20 minutes. still have not gotten to place my order. having worked for starbucks myself, i have never had a line run this slow EVER.
update: my total time in the drive thru from enter to exit with drink in hand was 30 minutes. as i watch people leave the drive thru, no one had crazy large orders. it didnāt make any sense why cars were moving like sloths. when i got in line, there were 3 or 4 cars ahead of me to get to the speaker box, for perspective. when i finally got to the window, i mentioned how long i was waiting and the man with glasses working the window was very apathetic and said they didnāt have a lot of workers and nothing he could do, left the window open and walked away. from what i could see, they had two people on hot bar, one on cold bar, one person stocking/floating, two people doing drive thru. that seems like a full floor to me. they just were moving like molasses. 0/10 do not recommend this place. go to the one in kroger or hit up panera across the street. absolutely unacceptable. someone from corporate needs to get in there and do some managing and coaching. this place does not hold a candle to the starbucks brand and...
