We were on our way back to Toledo. We arrived just before 11:00am. Our party of 3 was seated quickly and ordered in less than 10 minutes. At 12:00 we still did not have our food and had not seen our waitress for about 30 minutes. The coffee refill crew was around about every 10 minutes. By now we have watched several small tables arrive and receive their food. At that point, I decided to talk to the lady behind the counter about the length of wait and to check on our order. That is when I hear another waitress asking if anyone could understand the writing on a ticket another server had left for her to handle. 1 of us ordered an omelet while my wife and I ordered the same big breakfast meal. We both ordered our hash browns extra crispy. I ordered my bacon limp and eggs over easy. My wife had over medium eggs and crispy bacon. When our food finally did arrive, an hour after we were sat, both sets of eggs were well over cooked solid through, the bacon was neither limp or crispy but rather chewy and tough. We ordered our hash browns with onions added. The hash browns were brought out with both the potatoes and onions nearly raw, definitely the opposite of extra crispy. By now we were running behind on our 8 hour journey home and were just happy to have something to eat. When the server, who delivered our food, came back to ask how everything was, I answered almost completely wrong. At that time we ask what happened to our original waitress and was told that she left and transferred the order to the new lady. Which now made sense of me hearing about our ticket confusion earlier. We were wondering about the original server just leaving and not saying anything to us about the change or that there may be a delay in the food. Well come to find out, our food was sitting there waiting for us but no one knew about the order. Now the new server said sorry I will see what I can do. We were waiting for a manager to stop over but only the server came by with our checks that had 10% taken off. As we were in a hurry, we had no time to chase down a manager, like we had to do our food. I understand that this is probably just a fluke event. But the lack of awareness by the wait staff and not having a manager stop by was...
Read moreIve been here a few times over the years and I really don't want to give this place a bad review! Something about its location and sign just SCREAM for you to come in! And when you do you are welcomed inside by great staff members! Promptly seated and food arrives pretty quickly! While you wait you'll see many of the staff talking with other customers, making me believe this is a loved and trusted local restaurant. However my issue lies more with the food, honestly its not bad at all! But its also not good! Im only going off a few dishes, but they're the same dishes i order at any other restaurant, their country fried steak for example is not bad, out of the 50 or so restaurants ive tried Jeffrey's is towards the bottom, the eggs were good, but the country fried steak reminds me more of the country fried steak we were served at school, thin, lacking flavor, and boring gravy. The breakfast specials are about the same, potatoes are undercooked the sausage is okay, but once again boring, I'd pretty much put it in the middle with other restaurants ive been too the most recent thing ive tried was a burger and even then I wasnt won over, I tried to approach it with an open mindset and not expect it to be bad, but I have definitely been to restaurants that serve better burgers, all the veggies were good, none soggy, no weird smelling overpowering onions but I always come back to "ive had better" i dont know if its the seasonings or what but so far everything ive ordered has been mediocre at best! I tend to visit the UP a couple times a year, I do plan to be back, at least in a year or two to check in, hopefully it'll be better, or perhaps this restaurant is catering to their regulars taste, which there's nothing wrong with that! I wouldnt recommend anyone go here, but I also wouldn't tell anyone NOT to go here, im sure if it fits your taste its a...

I sat and sat and sat and sat, I finially got my meal, my eggs were cold my steak was burnt, Jess came over after forgetting my pepsi, after I was waiting for steak sauce, asked me how it was I said it was to be medium, she said she would have another one come out, left plate with bad steak, I finished my eggs an hashbrowns and then my new steak came RAW, I called Jeff over and said you really do need help in your restaurant he said they hurried to get it done. but it wasn't done, I don't know anyone who likes eating there meals in sections. I was not pleased, I would not go back let alone accept a job. customer service, customer service is number 1. the restaurant is located in a bad place, you cant afford to give poor service. if this tells you how bad, I have always tipped, I had a job on the line, I didn't tip and I wont go back. not a half an hour later I ran into a store with diarrhea, I continued to have diarrhea 4 more times, my stomach was killing me, I was so scared of food poison, had to be the steak and no I didn't finish either one of them just bites. do not go here. toni jess called me this morning saying thank you but we are going a different direction , what the hell does that mean? you need me, you need my experience, jess has no clue of what she is doing, I felt like getting out of my seat and seating people, showing them what good service is about. you don't leave hot food in the window to seat guest, you don't touch money then go serve food, yes you need me, call me I can bring business back.
