This place has always been our neighborhood spot like I’m sure a lot of people/families on this side of Marquette, but the new owners are doing something off. The shakes taste weird now, the cups are always covered in syrup or ice cream. The amount you get for the price you pay use to be worth it but the service and the product is t the same. But, I guess their flashy aprons are pretty sweet! My chocolate shake tasted like all chocolate syrup and the ice cream was a second taste. Not mixed well and too much chocolate. Just visited tonight, staff very friendly, wait not bad at all. The downfall to this visit: I ordered the Strawberry Short Cake and the cake wasn't short cake at all, it wasn't pound cake; nor was it Angel food cake... they used a butter-milk biscuit and sadly, it so did not work at all in this ice cream dessert. The ice cream was great, the strawberries were fine and the appearance looked nice. Hopefully, they will consider not using biscuits most people eat at dinner time. First time at Frosty Treats since landing in town yesterday. A pair of Sundays ran a dime short of $10. One, a Turtle with Butter Pecan ice cream was pretty good. The other, a Peanut Butter Crunch with chocolate ice cream, was odd of flavor. There was a flavor that was hard to discern. In the case of both, the nuts were exceptionally crunchy, a leap beyond the commonly rancid overtones found in nuts at other ice cream places.
