Bober Tea & Mochi — Restaurant in Martinez

Tasty donut with different frosting. Friday at 2:30 pm, they were slammed. Better to wait a month or so until they get a system going to speed up the process. There's 2 kiosk screens to order various teas and how many doughnuts you want. $2.50 per donut, minimum of 3🤔. We couldn't figure out the drink menu enough to get one, so we opted to get 3 mochi donuts only. Pay by card only. Then we waited. The drinks take a lot of time. We could see about 8 order tickets already printed and more printing. Everyone was waiting. Although the mochi donuts were good, they're not good enough to develop a craving for. 1. We don't appreciate businesses that don't handle cash. 2. There was nobody to speak to regarding the menu 3. We opted for a text reciept, all we got was a text link to another site that didn't work, we're suspecting data harvesting at this point. We would eat mochi donuts again...

Came here with my meetup group Friday morning at opening. First thing I noticed before even going inside is that they don't take cash which was annoying as I had brought cash specifically for this. Got myself some kind of brown sugar drink with no add-ins. Wanted some of the fruit drinks but they were all made with green tea. Couldn't afford a donut because I only had cash. Amazed with how fast the order came out. The others also got their orders pretty quick. We were there for about 2 hours or so just chatting and enjoying our drinks. The location is nice, and there's parking right up front. There's swings inside, though one was out of service. The whole room is covered in fake pink roses so if you have sensory issues, be aware. My eyes hurt from looking around too long. Nice place and I'd definitely come back to try some donuts now that I know to only bring...

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE. THEY ARE NO LONGER AFFILIATED WITH BOBER. They do not have access to online orders and cannot/will not refund or make your drinks unless you order in store. They gave me a number to call to request refund but it's someone's personal number (which... why does this person have access to payments) and they WILL NOT RESPOND OR ANSWER CALLS. You cannot contact Bober corporate since it was a franchise. Had to jump through hoops and report it to my credit card company. Merchant phone number also DOES NOT WORK. Bank approved my claim so long later because they have to give the merchant adequate time to reply (which they didnt over a month later) and I was awarded the claim. DO NOT ORDER AHEAD ONLINE.
