Wow, I just found Andy's recently as we have been in Maryland Heights area. Nestled between Chic-fil-a and Commerce Bank in the Schnucks parking lot. Prefect treat after grocery shopping. They have a pretty big menu with some that stand out. This summer its lemon tart and anything Blackberry but im figuring they are all good lol. You can get shakes, concretes, and Jackhammers. Those are made with a hollow center that is filled with what ever type of topping you want. Hot fudge iis AWESOME of course, but you can also get fruit dropped in there. Every bite is like Heaven. Also if you use your first receipt to join the free rewards program in the app, you get a free one on your 2nd visit, a free one for your birthday, and lots of other deals throughout the year. A med concrete will probably cost between $8-9 and the cup is a collectors cup to keep. Makes the price worthwhile because the small concrete in its little cardboard cup is sad. Other people in line see those come through the window and people shake their heads. They give it to some little kid who isnt old enough to read, but these head shakers already know who didnt bother reading anything except maybe if there are nuts or not but didnt see that for about a dollar more that treat would not end up aall over the back seat. Hell its almost July, its definitely hot out there, will start melting in about 2 seconds. Pop a lid on it give them a straw and everyone will be happy with the upgrade. For real the only things this area has is food grocery, fast food, and resturants.. The 2 biggest attractions are seasonal at best. They built Aquaport a summertime fun place with waterslides, Lazy River, and still pretty new is the Surfing simulator. Pretty easy once you fet some practice which they let you do with or without board. Or you can head uphill to Creve Coeur Park where you can do lake type water activities like sail a boat or ice plunge. (No thank you on the last one BRR.) BUT WHEN YOU LEAVE BOTH some type of Ice cream is always a great way to end the day. Expand your taste buds, join the fun. Or you could just go across the street to DQ.( No offense to them ever, im not picky. I just love Ice Cream...
Read moreWe pulled up and an outside attendant took our order. Now, I have to preface this review by saying, I go to Andy's A LOT! Sometimes everyday, sometimes 3 times a day...so I know a little about what I order, its cost and the container it is served in, because I only order 1 menu item and I order it the same way every time regardless of the Andy's location. This evening, when I pulled up to the window and they gave me my total, it was $3 more than usual or expected. I handed them my debit card and asked if their prices went up. The young man told me the cost of a large concrete with added fruit was... I told him that I didn't order a concrete. I ordered a diy sundae. He immediately went to get the store mgr who immediately corrected the mistake. When they brought the finished product to the window, it was about 1/3 less than I have ever seen it. He tried to explain to me why but I have never been served my order and it was less than any amount before. Again, he went to get his mgr who came to the window and again explained to me since I ordered a large, because of the added fruit, they put it in this container for it all to fit. I told her that I order this item ALL the time and never had my cup NOT been filled to the top. We were very polite to one another but we were saying something different from each other. She immediately took the sundaes and told me she was more than happy to put more in them, asked me did I want more custard, fruit or both... I told her more custard would be fine. She filled them up to the brim, put lids on them and bagged them. She then said she wanted to refund my money because she felt so bad about the confusion about my order and the hassle it caused me. I told her I didn't want a refund, she corrected everything without hassle and I was very happy with her service. I added she had EXCELLENT customer service and I would be happy to post a review. So, here it is! Andy's Frozen Custard on Dorsett Rd not only has an excellent product but exemplary customer service and I will be telling people about that experience for an example of what great customer service is! Thank you to...
Read moreHad to edit my review from 2 years ago. This used to be a great place for frozen custard but not anymore. My orders are often wrong. I get the same thing every time but it looks totally different each time even when it's the correct ingredients. No two employees make it the same way. Tonight, I waited in the drive thru over 5 minutes only to find out their systems were down so they couldn't serve anything. There were multiple people working there so all they had to do was go out and put a sign on the menu board indicating that they were not able to take orders. While in line, I waited while two people in front of me sat at the menu board for 2 - 3 minutes each trying to decide what they were going to get and then drove to the window to place the order all while the employees inside just sat there and didn't bother to come out and let people know they weren't able to take orders. And when I got to the window, instead of just saying "I'm sorry we can't take orders cuz our systems are down", the employee took this roundabout way of telling me and I had to literally ask him to clarify what he was talking about. I asked him, very nicely "do you mean you can't serve me ice cream or you just can't take credit cards?" He just said again "um yah, the systems are down and well like, um, I can give you a sample. Here's a free thing for next time um, um, and yeah they're down sorry about that." I told him it was no problem at all, but that he could save people a lot of time if they put a note on the menu board. I swear I was nice about it. He acted like he didn't understand what I was asking. Maybe the dude was high, or maybe the place is being held up and gunpoint and that's why he was acting so weird. Who knows, but I won't be going back anymore because this is the fifth time things were...
