Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Maryland

I feel robbed. Service was decent. The food is nowhere near what it used to be, and Im not talking about "back in the day." I mean, since just a few months ago. My husband and I always got the bourbon street chicken and shrimp. It was our favorite. Now, the portion size is LESS than half of what it was. You used to be served, what I thought was 2 chicken breasts and the rest of the plate was mashed potatoes. We received one very small chicken breast and what looked like 2 large dollops of potatoes. There was literally a 4 inch gap between the chicken breast and potatoes on the small sizzle skillet. What used to be our favorite was sorely disappointing. We did not complain since hopefully this is something passed down from corporate and not from the discretion of their manager. The overall quality also was not up to par. Realistically, you get what might add up to $5 of food on your plate and you pay $82 for 3 people (we all got the same thing) Save your money and go else where or make a good homecooked meal.

UPDATE: A gentleman whom I believe was the district manager corrected me to say that it was never 2 breasts, which was my mistake. However, I know the portion was much smaller than usual. He is sending out a gift card to make things right even though we weren't really interested in revisiting. I appreciate them reaching out, though, and hope the next...

My group went to this restaurant on Monday night 9/27/21 for our wedding rehearsal dinner. The waitress had two tables. It took a while to get our drinks. It took longer to get our food. There were maybe 8 people in the restaurant. I ordered a steak, had to be sent back because it was so rubbery I couldn’t even cut it. The waitress didn’t bring everyone’s order at the same time even tho a few had ordered the same things. She never returned to ask if we needed additional refills on our drinks. She was too busy entertaining some fellow employees. I asked for a manager because when it came time to pay she had charged the bills to the wrong people, we gave her all the cards with the bills and how it got soo mixed up I don’t even know. This was the third visit with the same problems and the same waitress. When the manager finally came to the table the waitress was over in the corner pointing and laughing about what had happened instead of apologizing and trying to make it right. When we got up to leave several of the employees were laughing and pointing at us for some reason. I won’t go...

It's always a hit or miss whether or not you get really good service here but at least the food is always good! Wonton Tacos and the pretzel sticks are my favorite! I really do wish that they would require the host to actually do one of the most important parts of their job and that's greeting people with a smile.... I don't like it when people see someone stocking shelves at Walmart being bothered over there smile but when your job is specifically to greet people and make them feel comfortable and welcome you should really be putting more work into it and not looking like you're incredibly miserable.... your tone should not sound annoyed that somebody else just walked in..... and part of your job is to ask where someone would like to sit not just sit them down at least it's been like that at Applebee's forever.... another thing that I have noticed is that your drinks take an hour to get to you and you usually have your food by the time they do considering this is not exactly a cheap place to eat this should really...
