Went there today with my family and in-laws. The food was okay, there were a few issues with the food being cold.
However when my 80 year old mother-in-law went up to pay, with the intention of using her AARP card for her senior discount, she was told by the manager- her name was Candice- that she could get no discount because she did not have the right type of card. Her card had no expiration date, she is clearly a senior citizen so she was not trying to pull anything, there is no sign anywhere stating you needed to have a specific card to receive the discount, and if she had the new card, she would have brought it with her. She clearly didnât have the new card. Then the manager proceeds to tell her that if she was worried about getting the discount than she should have gotten something off of the senior menu.
Not even twenty four hours ago my in laws had gone through something terrifying. To have to deal with such a rude manager was absolutely ridiculous and something they did not need to have dealt with with their current situation.
When I went to have a word with the manager about what she had said to my mother in law, she had a smirk on her face the entire time- what a surprise, she didnât care whatsoever! Sheâs the manager of the restaurant, she couldâve given her the discount she deserved- she donât feel like it, nor did she care to do it. And the icing on the cake, my husband and son heard them calling my mother in law mental on the way out of the restaurant. Real mature there.
If you want quality food and good customer service, do NOT come here (especially if the manager Candice is there, cause if you have any problems.... good luck dealing with her). After going maybe once a year for a few years, itâs safe to say that theyâve never gotten any better, and especially with their current management, they definitely wonât be getting better anytime soon. Save your money and go to somewhere that will actually be worth your time and money, cause this place...

Read moreMy family and I have dined here many, many times and I felt it is time to give it its due diligence. We generally dine there late evening or overnight. I pay attention to not only my table but the overall happenings around us as well. These are my observations - mileage may vary. Each and every time, the visit has been outstanding. The service (Olivia, Tamia, Michael, Lisa and Donna) have all been great. Obviously, at different visits but each server is absolutely on top of their game. From drink refills, to timeliness of ordering to meal delivery and checking back there has never been an issue. The menu changes seasonally and has something for every taste. The omelets and breakfast platters for an overnight visit definitely fill the void for hunger. Evening meals, standard dinner fare, is as diverse as the breakfast offerings. I've had the lasagna, sizzling skillet platters and several hamburger offerings. Each one was made to my requests and cooked exactly how I wanted. Do not discount the steaks (Sirloin and T-Bone)either. They are as good and cooked perfectly as any steakhouse order. Seriously !! Throughout the meals, the management (Deanna, Damara and Tamia) visit the tables checking on the guests. Additionally, when needed (high volume) the management assists the servers as well - drink refills, napkins, extra whatever - it is taken care of. Is it without flaws ? No, they do run out of things, as should be expected. This particular Denny's has an outstanding staff and is always a pleasure to visit. It is very clean, organized...
