Einstein Bros. Bagels — Restaurant in Maryland

Best local coffee shop so far! We just moved to the area and tried out the local coffee shops. Their caramel and vanilla cold brew is fantastic, the chocolate one is heavy on chocolate, but great if that is what you are looking for!

Their all-nighter breakfast bagel is incredible, and each time we've gotten their bagels, they have been crispy and fresh, and BEST EATEN RIGHT AWAY while they are still hot and crispy! Their shmear spread cream cheese is very tasty, and each time we've gotten it, they've loaded it with lots of the spread.

The service has always been great over our first month of trying it. Don't let any of the workers rub you the wrong way, they are all very sweet and kind, and there is always a lot of orders at this place because it is so good. The man who is there as a cashier often is always helpful and attentive, and ask us if our coffee is good or if they can do anything to help make it better.

The only thing that people should know is that the earlier you get there, the better the food is. We went often between 8-10am and got the best quality food, but if you go around noon, they handle a lot of orders during that time and sometimes the bagels aren't the same as in the morning, but still great!

I enjoyed a delicious classic salmon/lox bagel sandwich. It came with my choice of creamcheese (honey almond) and bagel (honey wheat). They are happy to let you take your time and mull over the plentiful menu options (I am a first timer here but i did not express it) without rushing you, answered my minimal inquires politely, and let me know that my choice came with 3 sides (a fruit salad, potato salad or a bag of chips) and the meal itself was very neatly packaged after being made perfectly to order. The team works very well together and this synergy flows well throughout the store, infecting the patrons who came and left during my time here with the same camaraderie. The utility person made sure the lobby was neat and taken care of, while being the most jovial of them all. I enjoy the food here, and I enjoy their rotation of new products. With that being said, however, the service I saw on a Saturday afternoon was just pitiful. I ordered ahead in the app, and when I arrived at the location, it wasn’t ready. Ended up having to wait a little over half an hour for my order. The customer service was poor (no consolation or apology better than ‘it’s coming’ for myself or any of the other patrons). The communication within the team was non-existent, and there was no real sense of urgency whatsoever. The person that seemed to be in charge was just taking their time even with a store full of customers (the same store that posts that it has a capacity of 5 customers at a time).
