A dear friend brought me some treats from Morning My Day so I can’t speak from personal experience regarding service but I heard the owners are nothing but sweet.
TLDR: amazing baked goods with star stand out Japanese milk bread.
But the treats? I can wax poetic about their baked goods. I feel torn as I write this review, because as much as I love their products, I fear that as they grow more popular, they will become overwhelmed with business galore, and it will be increasingly difficult to enjoy their treats. But the owners work hard and create such delicious food, they deserve nothing but success and I want to support a small local business as much as possible. My friend brought me an assortment of their pastries, including their red bean bun, coconut bread, taro bread, and the Japanese milk bread. The coconut and taro bread were tasty, but subtle in their flavor. The red bean bun was delicious and the bread itself was chewy and pillow we soft. But the star stand out was the Japanese milk bread no question. I thought I knew what Japanese milk bread was until I had the milk bread from this bakery. It is nothing short of amazing. It is chewy, soft, slightly sweet, and “creamy“ if you will. GBBO fans should know that the milk bread would earn the owners of this bakery a handshake from Paul Hollywood. I hope everyone has a chance to try this amazing bakery, but please leave some treats for those of us who don’t live in Maryland and can’t enjoy their treats on a more regular basis. I wish this business nothing...
Read moreIt’s a cute, little bakery run by some lovely, wonderful people.
I’m a pretty big guy who used to be overweight. My love for sugar is still very much present lol. That said, whenever I eat anything from here, I don’t feel that “guilt” or “shame” you feel when you prick up a candy bar.
Everything that I’ve tried here is the perfect amount of sweet. Not too much, not too little. It will satisfy your sweet tooth without making your doctor cry at the amount of sugar you just ingested.
It’s also very filling. I can easily eat 2-3 donuts from a donut shop. Meanwhile, I’ll be 3/4 of the way thru a pastry from this bakery and I’ll struggle to eat the rest. I want to eat the rest because they’re VERY delicious but it’s more than meets the eye.
Also extremely well priced. The average for a single pastry or slice of cake seems to be right below $4 I think. Might be slightly off but the point is I didn’t feel like I was spending a lot. Again, for something that will fill a grown man up without being half your daily amount of calories in a single serving like some of these other sweets, this place is near impossible to beat.

Read moreThis was the first place I tried when I moved to Silver Spring six months ago. I consistently go back here for not just the insanely yummy breads, cakes & boba tea — but the kindness of the owners and the care & perfection they put into what they do.
I have nearly developed an addiction to the black sesame bun & milk teas. We've tried several cakes & desserts & they are always perfectly balanced in texture and taste — and never too sweet.
I love watching the owners shape the bread & make the teas. You can feel the love they put into what they do. Everything is high quality & reasonably priced. Highly recommend the espresso boba, taro milk tea, and cheesecakes! Also the roll cakes (and don't forget the milk breads!) Really — everything here...
