Made reservations for 7pm on a Thursday evening, there was only maybe 4 other tables with patrons, so we figured it would be a smooth dinner as we celebrated a family member’s birthday. Boy was I wrong to assume that as we didn’t leave until after 8:30pm with a story to tell.
Our waiter while very kind on the surface, was clearly tweaking out on something he took. Like super jittery, sweating bullets and couldn’t get a proper sentence out. From spilling every single beverage ordered, forgetting simple requests for 30-40 minutes, it was rough. We were trying to be as understanding as possible since everyone in our party has worked the service industry, and knows how overwhelming it can be.
But the straw that broke the camels back was that he managed to put 75% of our entrees in wrong after confirming what we ordered three separate times over the span of a 20 minute period. And each time we had to correct what he had written down. We ordered a honey chicken, a Singapore street noodle, an orange chicken, a beef and broccoli with two side orders of lo mein, and received 3 orders of honey chicken, a beef and broccoli, all fried rice and no lo mein, so nowhere even close to what we ordered..
The house manager was able to get us our correct orders to us in a much more timely manner. The food itself was good at least. We would have taken more of our leftovers home if the server didn’t drop his notebook into the food when trying to hand us the check. Thankfully we looked over the receipt, he added an IPA we never ordered. The house manager came back ensuring we received a discount for the experience we had. I didn’t catch anyone’s names unfortunately, but the house manager mentioned she transferred from Towson. She did a phenomenal job making the moment right for us, but definitely expected a better dining experience out of a higher end chain...
Read moreI HATE to give a bad review but I've got to this time.
First, we had a reservation at PFC for Saturday night at 07:15 pm and we were kept waiting for an hour. I'm aware that this is Pandemic Time, with reduced capacity and short staff, but they staff and the manager made no effort to communicate with the group of people standing in the lobby waiting for tables. The room virtually empty, with only five tables on each side of the room being utilized. Even with outdoor seating, the wait could have been negated or at least made more palatable if the manager had communicated with the people that were waiting.
Second, the bathroom was a disaster area. I can almost guarantee that it hadn't been cleaned that day and there was urine and trash all over the floor in the men's room. Once again, this is Pandemic Time, but cleanliness and attention to detail in the restrooms reflects on the overall experience and confidence in the restaurant. I can't remember a restaurant that I've been in lately that had let their bathroom go this far...
Finally, once we were seated and met our server, it was a great experience! The food was amazing and the service was great; even though our server seemed to be racing around servicing way too many tables.
Like I said, I hate giving bad reviews, but any service business has a responsibility to maintain exemplary communication with their patrons as well as minimal standards of cleanliness in the...
Read moreI have eaten here multiple times! I have always dined at the bar, and each time the bartender has provided sincere, friendly, attentive service — Patrick and Kristen each once, and Amber on three occasions. The restaurant is clean with a cozy ambiance, a hostess greets me immediately upon arrival with a warm friendly smile, and the food is delicious and reasonably priced. Staff members are always presented professionally and attractively, and they cooperate and assist each other to ensure excellent guest experience. Manager often visits to ensure that everything is well, which it always has been, but I appreciate the interest anyhow. My favorite item is an appetizer: the fried pork dumplings (they are also available steamed). While my experiences are limited to the bar, table service staff were smiling and have been friendly as well, and have assisted the bartender when appropriate.
Thank you to the staff at Annapolis P.F. Chang's for your sincere service and making my evenings out enjoyable!
