I want to start by saying this is an update to my previous review. The food was good as always—no complaints there—and the service was fast and friendly. But there are a couple of issues that are making me think twice about coming back, and that’s why I felt it was important to post an update. A few months ago, we were meeting family for dinner and they refused to seat us until our entire party was present. I get that policy in general, but in this case, the rest of our group was literally in the parking lot and walking in. While we were waiting, other guests who arrived after us were seated before us—even after all of our group had arrived. I let that slide at the time. But on my most recent visit, I noticed a “surcharge” on my bill. When I asked about it, I was told it was for using a credit card and was directed to a small-print sign at the register. That’s not okay. There was no mention of this at the hostess station or on the menu. By the time you’re at the register, you’ve already eaten—it’s too late to make an informed choice. And the surcharge was about 3%, which is more than the average credit card fee (typically around 1.9% for card-present transactions). With Texas Roadhouse opening nearby, we’ll likely start going there instead unless Texas Grillhouse steps up and puts customer service front and center again. Texas Grillhouse—if you want to keep loyal customers, you need to be transparent and improve the experience before the meal, not just during it.

I got the New York Strip steak with a Sweet Potato and Broccoli. I added cheese on the broccoli. The cheese was a mistake. I don't know what it was... but, it wasn't very good. The sweet potato was good. I'd order that, again. My New York Strip steak was very good and was cooked to a perfect Medium, which is what I ordered. However, another individual in our party ordered the Beef Tips. When his order came, he complained that there were very few tips. About only 5 would be my guess. In a separate bowl were the mushrooms. There were 2 or 3 times as much mushrooms than beef tips. The bowl was nearly over flowing with mushrooms. It look like the mushrooms were the main course of the beef tips meal. The third member of our party didn't have complaints or praises, either way, about the food. Our waiter was no where near what I've grown to expect in waiters and waitresses. He refilled the other two people's coffee, but never once asked if I wanted a refill on my lemonade. He was always rushed, abrupt and curt in his service. The service could be a lot better. The atmosphere and esthetics of the place were Western and Texas like. I really enjoyed the looks of the place.

I decided to stop and eat here with my family.we had a long drive and we seen this place it was pretty busy and looked like a nice local spot to get a good meal .once we walked in ,I should have just left .the hostess didn't even make eye contact with any1 of us .and was more busy doing something that could have waited ,I can't remember what that was but I'm sure I was like wow that couldn't wait .so as we were seated one thing I did notice was that we were the only people of color ,no problem there but it was noticeable .as we ordered with no worries of price .we all ordered what we thought would be fantastic meals ,we were starving .with nothing to do while we wait we start noticing party's as big as us coming in ordering getting there salads first then there food. We started to wonder wow did they have to kill the cow for us .people were coming in after us getting there food and leaving we didn't even get our salads yet .jeesh...then finally after the long dreaded wait it arrives finally I thought .I took a bite of my shirmp it was cold not even warm cold .I thought well shrimp cools fast I don't know. Our steaks were cold as well not even warm a little colder then room temperature .the steaks didn't even have moisture to them they had been sitting so long .the manager came back and said I took 10% off your bill .I told him our food was cold he did offer to remake them but we had already waited an hour .I just had him take my food back .they thing is there here to feed us its kinda there job and my waitress just shrugged here shoulder's like well what u want .my dinner was ruined and the vibe we felt was very much that are business was not wanted there....I seen people getting food way before us and got there after us .the only difference was the color of our skin .I'm very disappointed in this place as we were told that would be the...

This past monday 6/13/24 I went with my family for a birthday and our experience was just horrible. Our food was mediocre at best but yet the prices were out the roof. When your prices are high you expect quality but you can tell not even the cooks could save the food they had to cook. The fact their management is so greedy they run this place so understaffed is ridiculous. Our waitress not only had to do her job but also 2 other peoples because they were so busy and management wouldn’t send in help. I find DISGUSTING that everytime i go in to see my regular waitress her spirits are always low due to the hostile work environment. This place is a joke, and it’s about time I write this. The fact there are certain people who are always rude but seem to be treated with special treatment is crazy, management does NOTHING for their employees, well let me re word, they do nothing for the good employees and let other employees get away with everything even though they can’t do their job. The fact my waitress who was amazing by the way, was getting barely any hours when people who HARASSED other people in that work environment go unpunished is just crazy. I never thought i would have to make a post like this but the service (not our waitress but everything else) was terrible, and for the price of everything just not worth it. Also, the fact i’ve only met one manager who was kind but barley see is also sad, she does such a great job and i feel she’s the only thing (including a few other employees) holding that...
