Wawa — Restaurant in Maryland

I’m writing to express my disappointment with the customer service I received during a recent visit to your store. An item I intended to purchase was incorrectly priced in the system. When I brought this to the attention of a sales associate, he confirmed the price discrepancy and showed another employee — a male with locs and colored contacts — the display where multiple items were stocked at the same price.

Instead of addressing the issue professionally, the male associate claimed the items were “inappropriately stocked,” falsely stated he was the manager, and walked away mid-conversation, disappearing into the back of the store. Throughout my time there, he was also seen eating and drinking while walking around the store, which appeared unprofessional.

Thankfully, the actual store manager later came out and handled the situation properly by honoring the listed price. I appreciate the manager’s professionalism, but the earlier experience was unacceptable and disappointing.

I hope this issue is addressed with the appropriate staff and that future customers receive the respectful and helpful service your...

Avoid at all cost!

Stopped here for a late dinner on a long trip. There were two people preparing food, as is average, and they were moving painfully slow.

I ordered a cheese quesadilla with pepper rings. Over twenty minutes later, I was given a chicken quesadilla with salsa and pepper rings. I checked the slip on the box, indeed I hadn't ordered a chicken quesadilla.

The quesadilla was a sloppy mess, undercooked and dripping everywhere. I was starving and didn't have time to wait for them to hobble through trying to make it again, likely to still have low quality.

About an hour later with an hour of driving left, the stomach pain hit me. I had to focus on not vomiting, my wife handing me a variety of medications from the back seat. I hadn't eaten anything else in hours, when I burped I tasted that damn chicken.

I also watched the man preparing several other quesadillas, each time he seemed to slap on the same ingredients - chicken, salsa, and pepper rings. I have to wonder if he was even reading the instructions on the order.

There's another location down the road, MAYBE...

Updated Review As Of May 2019 I went back to this Wawa after I spoke to their Corporate HQ because my Gift Card would not work during my first visit. I was told to reload the Wawa App and once I did that, my Wawa Gift Card worked fine during my second visit. I decided to buy a small meatball cup (I've never eaten at Wawa before, so I needed to make sure that they serve Real Meatballs) and Strawberry Lemonade. Yum! and Yum! I then decided to get a custon Meatball Sub with Provolone Cheese. Wowza!.....There is Nothing like Real Meatballs (with Awesome sauce) and Real Cheese on Fresh Bread. On top of that, the Strawberry Lemonade was so great and refreshing on a very warm day. In addition, all of the workers were very nice and the place is so clean inside and outside. Even all of the customers I encountered were very nice too. I was full and very happy after my meal. Even though this Wawa is not close to me, I'll still be back asap to this...
