Starbucks — Restaurant in Maryland

Literally my favorite Starbucks to patronize. The service has improved over the last year and is the best I've had at a Starbucks. The drive thru is typically quick (for a Starbucks) even with a long line. I'm giving this location 5 stars for the customer service. There are several baristas who often go above and beyond with their customer service. Even the less "friendly" baristas provide better customer service than the best baristas at most local locations. There is one young man in particular (do not know his name but he is brown skinned with reddish hair) who is exceptional and should be a manger (at the very least. I honestly believe corporate should hire him to train employees on exceptional customer service) . This location is really going downhill fast. Lately it seems as though you have about a 50/50 chance that a barista will actually be working instead of on break. Apparently there is not enough staff on hand to cover such a time. Even if a barista is working the odds that you get a good or even correct drink are slim to none depending on which barista is there at that time. Very disappointing. So many times lately I've passed by the numerous confused people who are standing in line at an empty counter not knowing they could be there until the employees break is over, as there is not even a sign to let costumers know. This place is getting 4 stars instead of 5 because my experience here doesn’t usually go this way: My barista today was Lex and she was absolutely fantastic. Her help had just gone on break and she was running drive through and making in house drinks herself. I’ve sat longer in the drive through with less drinks and more people on than I had today and she rocked it out and got me in and out of there.
