Two Scoops Creamery Matthews — Restaurant in Matthews

Let me say first that we LOVE Two Scoops ice-cream! We live in Matthews and we drove to the main location in uptown frequently because the ice-cream is so good! We were elated to hear that they opened a location in Matthews. We went opening day and couldn’t find the location at all. There were no signs about it opening and the only place we could find open was Carolina Beer Temple. We went in to ask if they knew where Two Scoops was and they led us around the corner. It was located inside Carolina Beer Temple next to a Cannabis Dispensary! I would call this location more of a kiosk with about 14 or so flavors. Once we got our icecream we could sit inside Carolina Beer Temple or go to the outside to the Carolina Beer Temple tables. I would not call this a family friendly place to bring the kids to get ice cream. People all around were drinking beer and having adult conversations while we were eating ice-cream with our kids. It was just a weird location and experience. When they announced their opening they could have had more information about where it was located and that it was more for adults. Next time we take our kids for ice-cream we will head back to uptown. If we were out with friends and enjoying some beer we would definitely head back to this location, but I wouldn’t...
