As a CEO of a large law firm, downtime is crucial, especially when I am with my family. ||We are very fortunate to be able to travel the world and our "family time" is paramount to us.||We travelled to the Four Seasons, Maui with my wife and two boys, (aged eight and six).||We usually spend every spring break, island hopping in the Maldives and we are first timers in Maui. ||Prior to arriving in Maui, we stayed at the Four Seasons, Beverley Hills, Wiltshire. The stay there was exceptional. Therefore, we were expecting "big things" at the Four Seasons, Maui. ||I have the pleasure in writing this review today, (whilst I am still at the hotel and celebrating my birthday today). ||I could not have asked for a better way or place to be in bringing in the birthday celebrations. ||This hotel FAR exceeded our expectations.||As residents in Dubai we have the luxury of seamless customer service and all star quality. Usually this quality of service is very hard to find worldwide. ||What took the Four Seasons Maui to 'that level' of exceptional is the following: ||(In no particular order the people / groups below took our trip to a "seven star" experience).||The Kids Club||THE best kids club we have ever seen our boys attend. The planned activities, professionalism of the staff and the venue is unbeatable. This kids club is super safe, super fun and super friendly. Our children have made friends for life and fostered great relationships with the team who run the place. You will NOT find a better kids club in the world that beats this one. We have been everywhere! ||James Muzika - Director of Rooms||There are those 'Hollywood films' where you see the definition of the ultimate customer service played by a British Actor. Usually, well presented where "nothing is a problem." This gentleman (as that is what he is) is a jewel 💎 you never really see in hotels. Maybe once in a lifetime. The biggest heart and compassion you could ask for. Thank you for everything you did and still do for us. He is one of the main reasons why we would come back to the hotel. If you visit here ask for James, you will soon realise how great your trip will be. He is pure class. ||Daniel Rostetter - Guest Experience Manager||I would say James and Daniel come 'hand in hand.' The ultimate duo. Daniel is exceptional and a seasoned pro in the hotel industry and beyond. Well presented and incredibly intelligent. Like James, he has every corner of the hotel covered and in particular he knows each guest by first names / interests. Daniel is someone you could sit with all day because he is just a great guy. Under Daniel's watch the guest experience is unforgettable. ||James / Daniel are rare. ||Lenny Frasquillo - Director of Recreation (Pool and Beach)||Lenny. Pure in nature and simply wants you to have the best time. He makes himself known and spends a lot of time to make sure you have the best possible experience. He is also very well respected by his team that says a lot about his nature and testament to his personality. Everything runs smooth with him. ||Nohea Bachiller - Adult Pool Server||In his mid 20s this guy behaves like he has been in the industry for 30 years. He is pro active, punctual and professional. He could hold down any job in the hotel biz with his eyes shut. He just "gets it" and nothing is a problem at all. You will not see someone like Nohea often, he's one of those guys who puts others first and clearly has a passion for his work. ||Joe Hurst ||This guy is regimented, a leader and all around legend. He seems to be everywhere and continuously makes himself known to make sure everything is good. He clearly is talented at what he does and makes sure everyone and everything runs perfect. He never stops working on customer care and everything at the pools / beyond is safe under his watch. ||Gideon Rosal ||He makes his role look so easy. He seems to do miles around pool and he's far from lazy. This guy does not stop. Always checking in on you and at the adult pool you're dealing with all kinds of people and personalities. He manages everyone with respect, professionalism and passion. Nothing is ever a problem with Gideon, he wants everyone to have a great time. He puts his heart and soul into his job. He is well valued by the Four Seasons guests. | |Felix Campos ||He is an 'operator.' Relentlessly working around the property making sure everyone is safe and secure. Resolving any questions and make sure everyone is having a brilliant day. He clearly is very humble and continues to support the hotel with his skill and expertise. ||Obviously, there are many others at the hotel whom are exceptional but the named parties above stood out for that "extra level" of service that you do not seen often. The hotel is very lucky to have these employees as they are the "oil" that keeps this hotel engine going. ||Nobody asked me to write a review, I wrote it because I so impressed. ||Best...
Read moreWhen my husband and I go on vacation we always stay at the four seasons because they always are consistent with their service, their rooms are very comfortable and they always go above and beyond for us. I have to say this Four Seasons location was a bit disappointing. We arrived there and our room was not ready as we got there an hour early before check in 4pm. So we walked around the hotel and went to grab a light lunch and after travelling for a long time we wanted a little bit of peace and the hotel pool area and lobby were a complete zoo. We were so shocked it was so over crowded soooo many people were checking in and out when we were checking in. When we walked around we had to pass by the pool area to get to the restaurant and it was extremely over crowded there was music blasting, we felt like we just arrived at one of those party hotels. Anyway we finally got settled into our room and it was very nice, they usually leave us a greeting card and some chocolates in our room but at this location they did not until the next day (I think because the day before they were soooo busy and everything felt rushed when we had arrived) All in all the room was very nice and they do turn down service twice once in the morning and once at night. Next morning we went to go use the adult pool the serenity pool and it was 9am and all the chairs were already taken with towels but there were 4 guests up there, we asked the pool attendant if there were any chairs and he told us no they were all taken and they hold them for the other guests and we can be put on a wait list but the wait list is very long. by 9AM the wait list was already long!!! to use a pool?! It was very frustrating we didn't bother putting our names on the wait list as he had already told us that we basically wont be able to get any chairs. We went to use the other pools downstairs and were able to get some chairs. After a while in the pool we went to our room to grab a few things and were told they hold your chairs for an hour.. we came back after 40 minutes and our chairs were given to someone else and our stuff was all moved from our chairs. My husband and I were looking around for our things and found them at the pool attendant desk and grabbed them. We were soooo frustrated because we wanted to grab lunch by the pool so we had to go and look for new chairs again and it was a complete zoo and everyone was looking for chairs and a place to sit. We finally found some chairs in the very back where you basically cant see the pool. Anyway we waited and waited for someone to come with towels and we couldn't find anyone I had to go and find the pool attendant to ask him to get us some towels for the chairs which took me about 15 minutes. He told us our server will be there shortly. We waited and waited for our server for her to come after 20 minutes I asked her for a menu as we wanted to order lunch and she handed me one and said she will be right back with some water. I am not joking when I say we waited a half and hour for her to still not show up with water. I messaged them on the app and was extremely upset at the whole situation. We went back to our room as its been an hour now and lunch time had passed we had other plans after. When I messaged them they were extremely apologetic we spoke to one of the managers afterwards about our experience at this location and she took care of our dinner that night which was very kind we weren't looking for her to do anything we just wanted to suggest that this hotel either take in fewer guests to give their guests the four seasons experience or to build more pools to accommodate the number of guests they are taking in.
To sum up this review if you are wanting a nice peaceful vacation to lounge and relax I would not suggest coming here and possibly thinking of the Grand Wailea next door and just going to the restaurants at the four seasons. If you are wanting to party and fight for pool chairs and like the busyness than this is the...
Read moreFour Seasons provided the most incredible customer service experience I have ever had! The level of luxury and personalization was almost unfathomable - I had no way to imagine that such phenomenal treatment existed.
I stayed here in February with my fiance. He actually proposed to me at their restaurant, DUO. While he was setting up the reservation, he let it slip and they became excited - word actually spread around. When he came to check in, everyone he talked to asked if he had proposed yet - they were all so enthusiastic. We've had other major milestones that we've celebrated at fine establishments (graduations, anniversaries, etc...) but no company has ever gotten this involved. It was as if the entire staff were our best friends.
My fiance checked in without me and was blown away from the moment he drove up to the entrance. The staff materialized around him and whisked him away, handling everything for him. He was offered a drink from one staff member and another one magically appeared with it moments later. His luggage came out of thin air right as he finished up at the check in desk. Every step of the way, an employee was there to guide and make it even easier than humanly possible. They even gave us a free upgrade, which was a wonderful extra treat.
We went straight to the restaurant when I arrived. I'll leave the details of my phenomenal experience at DUO for a review on their personal page, but I'll tell you some of the great bits:
I ran very late but the restaurant still seated us after they were closed. They treated us no differently than if we had shown up at 7 like we intended. When my fiance got on his knee, the manager took some pictures on her phone for us as they knew my fiance was unable to hire a photographer to capture the moment. They gave us some celebratory champagne and complimentary, personalized dessert congratulating us on our engagement (I've attached a picture for you to see). Then they had the photos delivered to our room and waiting for us in the morning with a sweet note. Also, not a single staff member let on that my fiance was going to propose. We also got the breakfast buffet the next morning and that was by far the tastiest, most diverse breakfast I've ever had.
We stayed in a suite and the furnishings were lavish. There was a bottle of champagne waiting for us on the table, surrounded by rose petals. The bed was the most comfortable thing I've ever slept on and the bathroom was huge, and well stocked with amenities I've never seen provided. I'm also very picky about the products I use on my body (I only use natural hair products and body soap) and I had absolutely no issues using their offerings. They also gladly approved a late check out for us.
We were meeting up with my family later in the day and moving to a different hotel with them but had about 6 hours to kill. The hotel had no problems keeping our car and belongings in the parking garage while we enjoyed the beach. And oh my goodness did we enjoy the beach! They had covered and uncovered chaises that they personally set up for you. They provide complimentary sun screen in multiple SPFs. They come around with a special treat about every 15 minutes, each time something new. They have food service with quite the extensive menu. They offer free canoe rentals and also have boogie boards, paddle boards, and other play things available. And, of course, the sand was soft and the water was clear.
We hated to leave and were surprisingly disappointed when we arrived at the next hotel. The new one had 4 diamonds from AAA instead of the 5 that Four Seasons has and the differences were glaringly obvious. If you want the best experience possible, Four Seasons is undoubtedly where you want to stay. Everything was stunningly gorgeous and meticulously well thought out, guaranteeing an exceptional visit.
One more thing I want to add - the experience here was worth every penny. We left with the wonderful feeling that each cent was more...
