This will be my last time going to Wailea Blue Course. While the course itself is beautiful, the customer service was one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a golf course, especially one attached to a high-end resort.
From the start, one of the cart attendants was extremely rude and condescending. Instead of welcoming us, he judged our appearance and made unnecessary comments like “you guys look like you Cruise,” which came across as insulting. As locals, it felt like he was putting us down as if we were at the bottom compared to resort guests. That’s not the kind of atmosphere you expect when paying premium prices to play here.
To make matters worse, after finishing the round, this same attendant came up to us and said, “don’t pick up the trash, that’s how you pay us.” This was shocking, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. Golf should be enjoyable, respectful, and inclusive, but this experience left us feeling unwelcome and disrespected.
As someone who manages for a high-end resort myself, I found this behavior disgusting and far below the standard of hospitality. I will not be recommending Wailea Blue Course to any of my high-end guests, nor will I be returning. A course of this caliber should be setting the standard for service ,not allowing employees to ruin what should have been a great...
Read moreWe enjoyed playing this course. We had trouble locating the club house as we had to drive through the parking lot of a small shopping area to get to the club house. The pro-shoo is not a stand alone facility. Once we got there we found the bag drop area and were helped quickly. We were well received at the pro-shop and got checked in quickly. We got there an hour before our tee time but the starter got us out right away and in front of a foursome which we later found out was still at the 12th hole when we finished our round. The course was in great condition, greens, fairways and bunkers. Plan to play here...
Read moreGood service from the pro shop. Rented clubs and shoes, which were brand new and quality. But, the course was not in great shape. Definitely not worth the greens fees. Felt like a nicer municipal course, but with some nice views on some holes. Most holes were just penned in by condos, nothing really special. Fairly forgiving course though. On the plus side, nobody else was really playing so the round was fast. Carts were nice with latest tech. Wouldn't play here again though. I've heard the other courses at the club are better, but I won't risk it and would...
