Gorgeous area! This is our 4th time here (for a week stay in 15 years). The prices have really gone up (even with lots of vacancies). The unit was clean with lovely view of the beautiful grounds & ocean. The sun screen was broken & it took 3 days to get it put back up (& lanai was HOT, facing west). The curtains in LR were tattered & ripped. It was a 2 bd 2 ba condo. The mgr agreed to push the 2 twin beds together with a pad to make a comfortable king bed for our elderly friends. When we got there, the pad was still in the box & on a chair.took photos of curtains, screen & mattress pad in box. They never came to put it on (& we can't unmake & make a bed). I also texted mgr (unnamed woman from Coldwell Banker) to ask if the pool heater could be turned on. The weather was in the high 80s as was the humidity. It was sunny & sweltering. The wall ACs were old & took forever to cool the rooms (we turned them off when gone as requested by mgr). After THREE days, mgr texted saying pool had nothing to do with them; it was an Association issue. I asked for their contact info 3 days in a row. The pool was Freezing! in the 70's (too COLD). She said the' Assoc. would turn it to 81*. Never happened while we were there. We were VERY unhappy about not being able to comfortably swim when it was sweltering outside. Also the delay in response was disappointing. Not sure mgr even contacted Asso. She never gave me the contact info (which didn't make sense if she/mgr/Coldwell Banker had no control of the pool). We came to swim in the pool not the ocean (we're elderly with bad knees). For the Huge AMT of $$ we paid, we certainly expected to be able to swim in a heated pool (it had solar panels). I'm Sure the property managers must have a close business relationship with the Association & know the exact person to contact (so blaming them for cold pool isn't credible). 7 days with...
Read moreI felt it was important to write a review for this property since there is very little information about it on any travel website. We travelled as a family to Hawaii and booked this location through Hyatt. We were looking for a place in Maui that offered more than just a standard hotel room. We found the accommodations to be fantastic for our purposes. The place is much more of a condo than it is a hotel. Our place had 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, and a full kitchen.||Highlights:|* Plenty of space for a family to spread out and have space|* Excellent location in Wailea. Walking distance to a small shopping center with very good restaurants (including Monkeypod Kitchen)|* Very good value for the money compared to many resort options|* Units include free parking, a full kitchen, washer/dryer, outdoor patio||What it is not:|* This is not a resort where everything you could want to do, eat, drink, etc. are on site|* The pools are nothing special. If your plan is to spend the day hanging by the pool and you want activities for children, you may want to choose a resort. The pools are fine to take a quick dip and enjoy some sun on the deck, but they are by no means fancy.|* This property is not directly on the beach. You will need to walk (.5 miles) or drive and park if you want to go the beach.||If your goal is to spend your days exploring the island with family, this is a great option. We spent very little time there during the daylight hours. It makes an excellent “home base”. We really enjoyed the quiet outdoor patio when we were not exploring Maui. If your vision of a vacation to Maui is to sit on a beach/next to a pool and sip fruity drinks served to you by hotel staff, this is not the place for you. Hopefully this...
Read moreArrived for a late check-in and the staff member at the reception (Amy) was very nice and helpful thumbs up there
Getting to the building was not that easy at night time since the area is not well lit but we got some help from the security guard. Once we found our apartment, it was a cozy 2 bed 2 bath set up with a balcony, a shared kitchen/dining and living room area. There was AC in each room including the living room which is a must in Hawaii :)
