First of all, you do not want to use the app because the app just steals your money. You pay for the food you go to the store and they don't have your order and when you get there the app disappears your order and says thank you for coming and shopping at our store or whatever and you've paid for it with your money already. But the store has no evidence of it and the store manager is not willing to do anything about it. So you're pretty much hosed would not recommend going there to that McDonald's anyway, I've been to McDonald's all over the other world and it's been 10,000 times better. But I guess in Maui it's lackadaisical and they're lazy. And they're lousy. They're food quality is terrible. Their presentation is horrific. Their representation of the McDonald's name and food presentation and pictures and everything is nothing. Absolutely. Nothing like the reality of other McDonald's chains around the world globally to take pride in the pictures representing the food and when you get the food it looks just like the picture. But here on Maui no chance I would never eat it at McDonald's locally in my lifetime. I would not recommend this one either. Save your money better to go. Buy cheaper and better to go. Buy the hamburger and the vegetables fresh and the buns from the grocery store and make a wonderful feast. That's 10 times better than a thousand times better than...
Read moreI typically go through the drive-thru to order my food, but today I decided to dine-in as a guest for the first time at this location and overall it was an "okay" experience.
I have only two complaints that ultimately were the reasons why I gave a 3/5 star rating and they are the following (see below)...
Complaint #1: They don't provide free refills for your drink(s) when you dine-in at this location. I know the McDonald's in Wailuku provides free refills for their Dine-in Guests, but not at this location. In fact, I think the Wailuku location might be the only McDonald's on Maui that provides free refills for their Dine-in Guests, but that could change, so don't quote me.
Complaint #2: They didn't provide any napkins, nor straws for my Dine-in Order, which was odd. Plus, I didn't see any napkin dispensers, nor straw dispensers next to the soda fountain, so I'm left assuming they keep those things behind the front counter. Whatever the case, next time this happens, I'll simply just ask them for the napkins and straw(s).
Other than that, I really don't have any other complaints. The staff was nice and my food was fresh. So overall, I'd still visit this location and recommend it to others. I hope my review helps you and I hope you have...
Read moreFor whatever reason, no matter when I come to this McDonald's, the food is never fresh. The cheeseburger and chicken nuggets I ordered this visit are no exception. The service is very rarely fast and it seems the only reason this McDonald's gets any business at all is because of its central location.
During my visit this time around, the restaurant was being renovated and a fifth of the interior was blocked off with tape. The pricing here is higher than its Wailuku counterparts and the parking is very unintuitive. Maybe they situated the restaurant so far from any significant parking lots to encourage people to walk more to burn the calories they're ingesting?
All in all, the only reason I ever find myself coming to this location is for their $1 large drinks after I've already picked up my lunch somewhere else. If it weren't for that deal they have, I would have no reason at all to ever come to...
