Would give this place a 8/5 if I could. Never have I ever had pork as crispy and perfectly cooked as here, from Michelin star restaurants to hole in the wall places in Asia. If I were Anthony Bourdain I’d put this place on the map.
We stopped by on New Years and the owners were closing early but they offered to make us crispy pork with onions and tomatoes because it would be ready fast. We had a fun time watching the chickens nearby.
The food was well worth the wait- made fresh to order, the crispy pork was perfectly salted and incredibly crispy. The chopped onion and tomato salad was a delicious complement. Even the rice was perfectly done. If we’d gotten eggs they would have been perfectly done.
If you’re looking for a perfect foodie experience in Lahaina I’d highly recommend checking this food truck out, then walking half a block to Ululani for outstanding shave ice.

We tried several things: Pork Sinigang, Grilled Pompano, Loco Moco, Fried Spam and the Garlic Fried Rice. Everything was delicious and super hot. My Sinigang (Tamarind Sour Soup) was similar to my grandma's - it was so hot you could barely eat it for the first 10 minutes and sour enough to make you pucker a little bit...it's one of those things I crave and it totally hit the spot. The Pompano was well grilled and my husband declared it one of the better fish dishes he's had in a while...definitely the best so far of our trip. The kids loved their Loco Moco and Spam. The Garlic Fried Rice here is legit. The man who runs the stand is super sweet and he will make sure you are well taken care of. Located across from Maria Lanakila Catholic Church in a small food truck court. ...
Read moreIt's real hard to find Filipino food where I live so we had to get some food here. I had the grilled pompano, which took a while because they grilled it to order, but MAN it was SO GOOD. Flakey and crispy with that addicting smokey grill flavor. Paired with the fresh tomato and onion, it was a cycle of delicious-ness. Bite of grilled fish, bite of fresh tomato/onion, rinse & repeat. Add in a bite of rice to reset. My aunt got the crispy pork belly loco moco. The gravy goes real well with the lechon kawali, but it IS a really heavy meal. She was only able to eat about 1/3 of the plate, so it's great if you want leftovers! The Simply Local shop next door is a nice place to kill time while you wait...
