Oh. My. Gosh... This couple may have created the ice cream of all ice creams. If you are looking for the dull american ice cream, this IS NOT! This is more like Italian gelatto, but better! And trust me, I'm an Italian descendant living very frustratedly in America because I miss real ice cream so much, so imagine how delighted I was to find this little place!!! And the owners are so so SO nice! The moment you show at the door they'll ask you if you want to try anything... My goodness the Ube one... I can't even believe one could make ice cream from yams!! It's so so so delicious!!! And my sassy 3yo also found their ice cream so good that she had the nerve to go to the counter and say "More ice cream pleaaaaase!". And you know what? They gave her a little soft serve cup! I really hope they have years and years of success because they have a marvelous business with top...

We stopped by Tropical Ice Cream Café in Kihei Kalama Village while visiting Maui to celebrate our daughter Jade’s upcoming 8th birthday—and we’re so glad we did! The staff, especially Michael, were incredibly warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The ice cream was absolutely to die for—so many amazing tropical flavors to choose from.

What really made it special was how kind they were to our daughter. They even surprised her with a free mango chocolate treat to celebrate her birthday! It made our visit feel extra memorable and personal. Great people, amazing ice cream, and a fun atmosphere.
