We figured we would just enjoy a nice swim and some time on the beach in the sun, but that's when a lovely couple approached us offering their snorkel gear as they were heading home and didn't have room in their luggage! This opened up an entirely new world, we were swimming away not realizing how many sea turtles were floating literally a few feet away from us. You absolutely need to rent some snorkel gear to truly appreciate this beach. I saw dozens of turtles, countless species of fish and my wife was lucky enough to see a puffer fish! Wonderful sand and a great walking beach with the waves ranging from very mellow to some serious surf (enough so for the lifeguards to post additional warnings along the beach when they deem the surf to be more dangerous).
