So, this seemed like a nice quaint spot in the mall for a light meal. I say it seemed because, while the atmosphere is nice and the servers friendly, there were a few things that just kept this from being a must recommend. Like I said, the service was pretty good. The workers were friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. However, it is also slow. When we went, there were only 3 workers. A cashier and 2 cooks, so all of them were having to double or triple as servers and busers. This also means customers are in charge of themselves for the most part. You order at the counter, then go to a separate area to get your own utensils, napkins, condiments, and drink refills. The atmosphere, as well, seems pleasant but has one major flaw. The decor is nice and bright with colors of white and blues. There is a show kitchen where you can see the cooks making your crepes and seating both in and out of the main dining area. So what's the problem? The chairs. The chairs are waaaaayyyyy too small. I'm a big guy but usually don't have many issues with seats outside of airlines. These wicker seats are so tight in the hip area that I couldn't sit back and relax at all. I had to stay on the edge or twist slightly to the side to find a semi comfortable position. The seats alone are reason enough for me or anyone with a generous lower half, not to go back. The Food. So crepes are not the most common food you find in the valley, but I enjoy trying new things. I had the chicken carbnara crepe. It came with grilled chicken, mozzarella, bacon, Parmesean, and a cream sauce with a mixed green side salad and sweet vinegarette dressing. It was tasty enough, but both the crepe and salad needed more sauce and dressing, in my opinion. The crepe is too dense and dry, especially with all the heavy ingredients, to have so little sauce to help it down. The same with the mixed greens, which I reiterate, is only greens. No other veggies or fruits, just leaves, though you can get a Ceaser salad if u prefer. The crepe itself was soft, though, and pleasant on the pallet. To drink, I got the Mayan Hot Chocolate, which is pretty much your Mexican style hot chocolate. It was tasty and hot in a nice generous cup, bordering on being a bowl. This brings us to price. For 2 people, we paid 42 dollars rounded up. So yes, that is 22 dollars a person. Obviously, price and value are subjective. Maybe you are blessed in the wealth department, and that sounds like a perfectly reasonable amount. For working class like myself, that was way more than I would normally be comfortable paying for outside of an upscale buffet or all you can eat. Unfortunately, with the slow service, uncomfortable chairs, stingy sauces, and price, I can't give this a place a "must try" recommendation. If you have the time, money, and figure, you might give it a try. For everyone else, there is a nice Aunt Anne's Pretzels...
Read moreFirst time being here as my wife was super excited to bring me here. However, I am very much a person of whom has become very much of a critic. Presentation of the facility was of an absolute delight. Very clean, very tidy, and very well maintained. Cooking area was well organized, and super clean. Personal was well presented, clean very polite and very informative about the products on the menu. Presentation of the Apple Cinnamon Crepe was gorgeous, had a great taste…..However I felt like if the Apple could have been a little more cooked or at least warmed up more….. honestly I felt like if the cook might have rushed the order a bit….of which I didn’t understand why. Please don’t misunderstand my review….I will go back and give them another try and maybe just tell them to cook the apples a little more. All in all very nice place to chill and take a load off and enjoy the company of a Loved One and...
Read moreI walked into La Plaza Mall and noticed this quaint little, what i believed to be a bakery. It was a matter of fact a restaurant. As soon as I walked one of the staff members came and handed me a menu and offered me a seat to look at the menu. She answered my questions with a genuine smile and directed me to the register to place my order. I went with the panini and Mayan cold chocolate (I know, what kind of combination is that!? Lol). The food was on point! Great taste and flavor! The cold chocolate was sooooo good! Both ladies that helped me were outstanding and very helpful. They made feel so welcomed. I will return for the Nutella crepe real soon! 10 out of 10! I took a photo BUT it was at the end of the meal! It looked so good that I completely forgot to take a photo before I...
