Foresters McCall — Restaurant in McCall

Stopped in on a beautiful September afternoon because all the ice cream shops in town are closed for the season . Booze is the next best thing, right? Our bartender made us really great gin and tonics so we decided to try one of their specials, the Gravitron. It was fresh and tasty and hand crafted with huckleberries. I wish I had gotten his name because he was super friendly and helpful, he made some suggestions for stops on the next part of our road trip. The bar has fresh popcorn, corn hole and one of those huge connect four games. The atmosphere is just really terrific and there are a handful of outside seats that belly up to the bar through an open window. Apparently they have trivia nights, bingo and live music as well. This is the best bar in McCall. Don’t even bother going anywhere else. They have the best drinks and the best bartenders. Lots of classics and they have good seasonal drinks as well. They always have something fun going on from live music to bingo to trivia. They have free popcorn always and pizza as of fall 2024. The pizza is so good! The crust is perfect, not too much dough and it’s crispy enough to be crunchy but not overcooked. The flavors are so yummy. The pepperoni is top notch and they have different special every night. You can get a whole pizza or just a single slice. They also have a ton of bar games like cornhole. Bartenders are so nice and helpful. Plus they have cool merch. They’ll also help you get a ride home if you’re not good to drive - safety...

One is reminded of the 1980 "Miracle on Ice" when one devours the new pizza menu at Forester. How in the heck did these cats come up with this brilliant, most-tasty in Idaho pizza when so-called nearby specialists can't rate a 4 in the field??.. It's as if Bruce Springsteen suddenly dropped a white paper on Quantum Computing.. Gosh. And on top of that, the best bar, the best game / music scene in town. Count me a fan.
