Food Quality - Best I have ever had
Service/Experience from Stacey herself - the worst. We came into town unexpectedly due to my best friends husband passing away this week. Her whole family came to McCall to get away and regroup as a family mourning the loss of an amazing husband and father.....there was 3/4's of a quiche in the display......the nice woman at the register suggested I get a whole quiche, that they sell them as a whole pie....I said sure (I am feeding 12 people at my house) that would be great....she went to the back to have Stacey tell her no, next time I needed to tell her a week in advance. I didn't explain the situation, I just said sure. I will take everything in the display. Stacey later came out, and in front of me said, "just give her the whole thing....I am going to have to cut up a new one anyway"...very matter of fact. I bought the whole quiche and a cake for one of the kids birthday's this Sunday. I left forgetting to have Happy Birthday written on the cake. The next morning I go back to get more quiche (I didn't dare ask for a whole one) and asked if they could write Happy Birthday on the cake. They agreed. When my friends son took the cake back they gave him a really difficult time about writing Happy Birthday on the cake. Suggested rudely to the sweet girl helping us, "next time ask them what they want".
I own a couple businesses and I have to say.....very surprising way to treat your employees and your customers. Thankfully your treats are sooooo good. Otherwise, you wouldn't have a business. AND if your business makes you so miserable....why...
Read moreOur daughter wanted a dessert table instead of a traditional cake at her recent outdoor summer wedding, and cupcakes from Stacey Cakes turned out to be the perfect dessert for an outdoor summer party. We were worried about how they would hold up in the heat, and there was no problem at all with the cupcakes or frosting looking just as beautiful on the table as they did when I picked them up the morning of the wedding. All three of the flavors (chocolate ganache; carrot; red velvet) were a hit, but the chocolate ganache created the most buzz around the dessert table! The bride and groom had a small lemon poppyseed cake as their cutting cake - just for photos, really - and it was gorgeous with the light yellow ribbed frosting. And, we had little bags of Stacey's famous ginger snaps for party favors at each table and they were also a huge hit at the end of the evening after people had been dancing the night away and wanted a snack. We bought the ginger snaps in boxes and did the little cellophane bags ourselves, with handmade labels. The ginger snaps are incredible - my husband gave the highest compliment when he said, "why would anyone try to bake their own when these are the world's best." Bravo to Stacey Cakes for these...
Read moreWow, wow, wow! Stacey out did herself with our amazing cake. We requested a single tiered cake for our elopement, with almond cake, raspberry cream cheese layers and naked buttercream frosting. We wanted to decorate the cake ourselves and it turned out beyond anything we could have asked for. Not only was the cake gorgeous, but it was so friggin' delicious and everyone who tried it said it was the best wedding cake they'd ever had. BUT, what's more... We ordered a Mediterranean quiche for the morning of, and that was all anyone could talk about for the remainder of the day. Seriously!! Here we are getting married and we couldn't get over how delicious the quiche was. The buttery flaky crust, plentiful artichokes, olives, feta, peppers, fluffy creamy eggs... it was to die for. Thank you Stacey for making our day...
