Stopped in for dinner on a Tuesday night around 7 pm. They were pretty busy when we were sat. WaIted 15 min for a server, none came found the hostess and she found us a server. Figured he didn’t know we were his table. Ordered an appetizer, had to track him down again to place our dinner order. Got the appetizer, the loaded fries were good, could have had more cheese, but I like a lot of cheese lol. We got our soups, we had the chicken tortilla soup, they were lukewarm at best, mine was darker than the other and had more spice to it, was very salty, not sure what they sprinkled it with, but definitely a little heavy handed with whatever it was! We ordered 2 chicken fajita salads with crispers and dressing on the side. The salads were huge, they were pretty good. The burger was delicious. When we looked up the bill on the kiosk we were charged wrong for the soups. We had to track down our server to correct the bill. We had ordered a to go which cost almost $27 and the chicken crispers were missing, which we did not realize till much later after we got home as the person eating it didn’t open it till later. The table I was sitting at had a good view into the kitchen where we saw lots of staff, including our server having a great time, watched one of them swing their arms into a server carrying chips and salsa sent them flying to the ground. I think it is great they were having fun, but it would have been great if they were doing their jobs too. The prices seem to have gotten out of hand as well, it was over $100 for the 3 of us and a to go, and they forgot part of the to go order! the food was just ok. We used to love their soup and it really just sucked. I am sure we will not be returning to this...
Read moreBeen going here for a year or two, service and food have been up to par most times;nothing horrible until today. There had been a menu change since we last went including a $3 price increase and now my favorite entree does not come with any sides what so ever. Such a Bummer. I need to eat my second favorite meal in order to get the amount of food worth what I am paying or get what I want and pay $8 more to get the same meal I ordered 3 months ago. Okay. Fine. So I told the waiter I needed more time to decide. Shortly after the manager walks up and leans in my wife’s face asking what seems to be the issue. I explained my frustration with the menu changes and told him I know it has nothing to do with him or the location but now I can’t get my first choice anymore and am forced to change my mind or eat $8 charges. Just stating that fact to him. I wasn’t trying to penny pinch or complain to get free food and we certainly did not ask to speak to a manager. So now he gets very short with me and rude, Telling us he isn’t going to argue especially after trying to help up. No actual help was requested nor actually given. The manager is now talking down to us and clearly does not care about upsetting us. Before he came over we had no intention of leaving but clearly we no longer felt welcomed there nor confident we were being well taken care of. He almost urged us to leave and smiled as we did so. Bad guy. Had no care for...
Read moreMy wife and I wanted to grab some margaritas and a burger to share after work, and this Chilis is one I have frequented many times before. We sat at the bar, and were greeted shortly after by the soft spoken but nice bartender. We ordered two margaritas; a watermelon and a classic Patron. Both were swiftly made and tasted good! We then ordered our food a few short minutes later: street corn, and a Just Bacon burger with fries and s/o ranch. There was an issue with the burger, and although it could have been fixed quickly, we had quite some time to eat the rest of our food before we were able to address the issue with our server. While this sounds seemingly negative and like poor customer service, it actually turned into the exact opposite. Our server was apologetic and offered many complimentary suggestions. They also did not allow this issue to affect their attitude or work ethic. The restaurant’s manager came over shortly after the food was taken away to apologize, empathize and also offer complimentary food. While we were not interested in free anything, and declined their offers, we were not charged for the burger and fries (rightfully so). The kind manager, Nick, properly introduced himself on his second visit to offer us his apologies, and we appreciated the few minutes of friendly conversation that followed. We left the restaurant in a feel good mood and satisfied with the food...
