My family ordered three subs from Jersey Mike's this evening. We called in our order and picked up. That process was smooth. Once we were at home and opened our sub sandwiches all three of them were incorrect. Two subs were on the wrong bread and one was missing mayonnaise. The third sub was a hot sub that should have included mushrooms, jalapenos, cheese and we asked for an add on of mayonnaise and lettuce. The third sub came with meat, lettuce, mayonnaise and mustard. It had no cheese no mushroom and one jalapeno. I thought no big deal I will just give them a call and let them know all three of our sandwiches were incorrect. When I called I spoke with a manager named Amanda and let her know all three of our subs were incorrect. She pulled up our order and proceeded to ask me "what's the problem"? I stated the items that were wrong on each sandwich and she argued with me stating that the person who called the order in told her to make them that way. I was sitting right next to my son when he called and he did not ask for the sandwiches to be made this way. She began to argue with me about the mustard on one of the sandwiches and insisted that she was told to put it on. I am shocked that the manager wanted to argue with me when we just spent $30 in their store for three sandwiches that were all incorrect. This review is less about the incorrect sandwiches and more about the extreme lack of customer service and disrespect that I received when I called. We will not be returning to this Jersey Mike's location. One star for the Miss Vicki's sea salt...
Read moreWord of caution to anyone visiting this location. Today (4/2/25), I went in for a mini #3 and a tub #13. I do not like cappacuolo, so I asked to substitute the cappacuolo for extra prosciuttini. This has NEVER been an issue at this location or any other location for that matter. This request was granted LAST WEEK (3/26/25). However, today, I was told by the one taking my order that she was unable to substitute because "her boss said no substitutions." She then said she could "add extra prosciuttini," which obviously is an upcharge. This forced me to just have less meat while still being charged full price.
This is unacceptable. I was a manager at the Gurnee location for quite some time. What this interaction leads me to believe is that seeing that they just did their monthly inventory and implemented "no substitutions" a week later (new month), they were short on their meat weights/counts for March. To make up for that, the "boss", instead of taking the loss, is now forcing customers to add extra meat instead of substituting. This is extremely predatory business practice and against policy, if I remember correctly. I have also noticed numerous other policy violations that I won't list here. This location needs to be audited/investigated, and this may warrant escalation to corporate.
Suffice it to say, I will not be purchasing from this location again. Which is a shame because the food is fantastic and the staff is friendly. I guess it's back to JJ's down the street so I can actually get what I want for my...
Read moreWell I normally don’t do this being that I am in upper management in food and beverage for many years I like to give people the benefit of the doubt but this is hands down one of the if not the most disgusting and unprofessional experience I have ever encountered as a paying customer… I was there last week to get some dinner and dine in and from the moment I walked through the door the assistant manager (Kylie) seemed to be bothered by my presence not sure why bc I don’t know her so goes to show you the unprofessional behavior from “management” she proceeded to go out of her way to be rude stare and make comments about me to her coworkers totally inappropriate and unacceptable and she continued to do so the entire time I was there and it was for a while since I dinned in made me feel completely unwelcome and uncomfortable not really sure what her issue was but being that I am in this industry I understand the value of a paying customer and the value of a dollar and clearly they don’t …sad to see someone in a leading position with such disappointing and rude behavior run a business when someone is just trying to support a store and get a sandwich but I guess that’s what you get when you have people with poor work ethic...
