I been coming to this location on/off for about 4-years now, and they deserve a 5-star. Whenever I am in a mood for a Jersey Mikes Sub I specifically come back to this location because of a few of the staff members in particular. Their names are Jeff and Chris. Both of these gentleman are class acts. I know that if I stop when Jeff and Chris are working, they are going to make me a good sandwich.
It's amazing how different employees can make you the same exact sandwich, but you walk out of the store with different levels of satisfaction. These two don't just make you a sandwich, they provide you an outstanding customer experience. They treat you like a valued customer, and they both have unique personalities that make you laugh or smile during your time there. They remember who you are and what your favorite orders are.
To put it simply, they break the monotony of the day-to-day. Those are the small moments in life that get you through the day, am I right ? Who wants to go to big food chains or franchise storefronts where you get the same boring assembly line experience with a person that has no personality? I surely don't ! I don't know about you, but feeling like I am on a conveyer belt does not improve my day-to-day. However, these two fellows definitely improve my day.
To further the above point, even though Jersey Mike's is a franchise, I still get that mom & pop shop feeling when coming here to this location due to Jeff & Chris. The same experience I used to get from all those old-school street corner delis I used go when I lived In New York. And that's the magic here.
If it were up to me, they both are overwhelmingly fit to be general manger positions. Especially Jeff, since he has been here helping me for the last 3-years or so. In fact, they are probably both overqualified for the position due to their people/customer satisfaction skills. That's something that's hard to teach these days. I hope they get all the recognition they deserve.
Furthermore, Jeff & Chris, if you are reading this, thank you ! And if you are the franchise owner(s) reading this, treat these fellows really good, however which way you can, whether that is a raise or a promotion... because if I had they on my payroll, I would not want to try to find a replacement one day.
While I am on the topic... As for the manger that is currently there right now, I couldn't care less for her. I think I've had about 1-2 total conversations with her ever and all I remember is she is the sole reason I almost never stopped in the store again. Wasn't pleasant towards me, and hard to deal with. Read moreOn 8/18 I had my food order messed up twice. I couldn't believe I had to go back twice and it still wasn't prepared properly. An apology was extended but this experience made me not want to order here anymore. On 8/19 I returned to pick up what should have been last night's dinner and the staff was friendly and helpful. However Jeff came over and introduced himself extended another apology and explained this is not how things go at the location. I told him I was a bit traumatized and was leary about ordering anything for myself but to take care of my family. I watched intently as he prepared the food. He really turned my whole experience around. He took his time to make sure everything was done as expected. Jeff ensured me he would make things right and he did just that. Generally when I receive bad service next to nothing will get me to come back. But his kind words, Him accepting responsibility over the issue from the day prior and he wasn't even on site was commendable. Jeff turned my 0 star review into a 5 star review. Read moreThis location has the most wonderful staff who go above and beyond! I ordered a sandwich with portabello mushrooms, which they happened to be out of. The manager called to let me know and then immediately ran to another location to get the supplies to make my sandwich. I was honestly expecting my order to be cancelled, but nope, they made sure I got the food I was craving and it is absolutely delicious!
On top of that, I saw posted on the wall very clear instructions on how to avoid contamination on gluten free sandwiches, which I sincerely appreciate as a celiac person. The manager confirmed their cautionary measures, expressing that he has experience with gluten sensitivities and takes special care to teach his staff how to avoid contamination. So, I waited an extra 15 minutes or so to get my sandwich, but I also had a lovely chat with the employees and those 15 minutes were quite enjoyable. I left feeling quite a bit happier than when I entered, and I think that says a lot about the atmosphere and people at this location.
