I eat at Tropical Smoothie literally everyday!! I have been to the Princeton, Allen, Frisco, and Other McKinney location off of Custer. Never once have I had an issue like this! I understand I'm making a lot of special requests, but when I'm paying $20 for a meal I expect to get what I pay for. I'm even really patient the first time if it's messed up. I ordered my Buffalo Chicken Wrap with no tomatoes, and very very very light buffalo sauce. I literally said like virtually NONE. Just one or 2 dots. When I say dot I don't mean a dot the size of a quarter. I mean an actual tiny dot. First time, way too much that the sauce was oozing out of the wrap. I politely take it back along with my smoothie. I asked for it to be not as thick. I received a smoothie that was a quarter of the way less full. So I ask for the manager and he wasn't in, so I spoke with the team leader, nice girl with glasses. I explain that I literally want virtually no buffalo sauce. I like the flavor but I can't eat anything spicy. I reiterate repeatedly literally like just one of two tiny dots. She said she was so sorry she didn't know what I meant, she thought I meant extra light sauce. Well, yes that is what I wanted, that is not what I got. But I didn't say that. I told her I understand and I apologized repeatedly for being "that customer." She really was very sweet. As was the girl making my smoothie. They told me that if they put less ice it makes less volume. Ok that makes sense. I haven't had that issue at any of the other locations but whatever. So I again very politely ask if she can just make it regular. She offered to put more water than ice and I said no it really wasn't that big of an issue, if she could just make it regular and make it simple. She was very sweet. She still tried to make it not as thick. She showed me the consistency and it was perfect. However, again.. the quantity was a quarter less. The amount never changed. Before I leave I apologize repeatedly for being so difficult and both girls were very sweet and receptive and told Me they understood, and they apologized as well. Fast forward to now.... I leave, I get to my other destination, open my wrap and I swear it was the same damn wrap!! Oozing with buffalo sauce. I attempt to eat it regardless and it's dripping with sauce I just can't. I tried to call the manager but they were too busy in a rush. So I come in and the team leader pulls the manager in the back before he walks out. Lord knows what she told him. I show him the wrap and he smirkingly goes "she literally only put a couple dots like you said" first off, you weren't here because I saw you walk in as I was getting in my car. He was rude, no apology nothing. I ask if I can just have it remade with no sauce because obviously they don't know what a tiny dot is or their buffalo sauce dispenser shoots like a geyser. But then I see in the reflection them annoyingly grab the tortilla and slap it down, to this I just asked for a refund. Again not a word from the manager. I tried to explain to him that I literally eat this same wrap everyday, and never had an issue. I should've taken pics to show how much buffalo sauce there was, I just didn't think I'd have to write this review. However the managers Attitude towards me was unacceptable. He assumed his team leader was being honest and chose to treat me like I was lying or being a "Karen." But again, if you pay $20 for 1 meal wouldn't you want what you paid for? Wouldn't you want to be treated with respect, especially when you were polite and understanding and apologetic when I really didn't need to be, they were the ones that made it wrong twice in a row. But, again the girls were both very sweet to my face. The team leader obviously said something to her manager, or it's his daughter because he came out already defensive, smirking, and basically calling me a liar. Very sad... normally I can't say enough nice things about Tropical Smoothie Cafe. Will not be back at this...

Today I came in and It was a girl with blue eyes who was there and another woman (Couldn’t read the name tags because they decided to kind of hide it from me reading it after I told them I spoke to the manager since he allowed me to get more than one each time) so I came in for my free smoothies, I asked for a watermelon Mojito and a Mango Magic with protein powder. I have NEVER been charged for the protein powder every time I came which makes absolutely no sense at all to be charged today? Anyways I was like okay Whatever,obviously annoyed because THERE WAS 3 NEW EMPLOYEES! Keep in mind I was here 1 week ago. I hand her my card and I was just over it. Not sure If I would keep returning after this cause it’s just the same over and over “It’s only one free smoothie” “Oh well he never told us” it’s like what? I remember a girl saying someone redeemed all there smoothies in a month so it just makes no sense to me?
I come here whenever I can since I have free smoothies for a year. The smoothies are delicious, BUT they are always hiring different people who don’t know anything. I came in with two friends for a treat and one of the girls said “It’s one smoothie per week only” I told her I spoke to the manager directly because I don’t live that close from here and he said I can use up as many as I want a week. I never had a problem till that day. Her co-worker told her that I was correct since she’s done my orders before. I don’t like how she gave such attitude but I think she doesn’t work there anyways. I get my smoothie and it was so bland, didn’t have sugar didn’t have flavor just tasted like orange juice and water. Sadly I was far away and couldn’t come back to fix it. My friends loved their smoothies but mine was plain. I came here about a week ago for their new smoothie and it was delicious. Read moreUpdate: Came in for a delivery pickup. Listened as the manager told an employee that he knows it called for 6 scoops of pineapple but just put four. Just put less. So their actually intentionally making the smoothies wrong trying to scam people.
2nd visit: Accidentally came to this same location again. This time I got all ice and a scoop of pineapple and powder. Asked about a refund for the improperly made smoothie trying to return the smoothie. There's literally no flavor in it just ice. Was refused the refund. So this location is basically just scamming people and denying refunds after servicing ice or pineapple water.
First visit: Literally watered down improperly made smothies. Ordered a mango magic smoothie. Got a watered down smoothie. Asked for a remake due to it being watered down. Watched as they remade it. The girl put a little brown powder in the mixer and a tiny scoop of pineapple. Two scoops of ice and a bunch of water out of a water dispenser of some sort. The smoothie was supposed to only have only yogurt, mango and pineapple. This is most definitely not what I ordered. When I asked the girl if she had literally just put water in it she said yes all of them have water. Since when at what other location? I don't want your sink water. Had to go to another location to reorder my smoothies. Was told they watched the camera and it was made right and since you left with two smoothies it must've been good enough.☹️
If every other location can get it right and you're the only location that can't then you're doing it wrong and are too ignorant to pay attention to how you're supposed to make the smoothie or their purposely scamming trying to save money not putting everything...
