Jae's Landing — Restaurant in McMinnville

Darcy is an angel, Darcy is the best & I would die for her but the other bartender is so unbelievably rude it actually blows my mind. She has told me and my fully sober friends that they “can’t have any drinks” for unknown reasons, insulted people in our groups, and plenty of other really bafflingly unpleasant things. We are not the type to get shitfaced and misbehave we usually just order a couple drinks & play pool, but she denied my friend a beer after he’d had ONE & told my other friend she couldn’t have a Long Island iced tea (her first drink) because it was “too much work” like what?? We were there another time on a Tuesday night & it was about 9pm & she stood a few yards away with her hand on her hip and stared us down, not saying or doing anything, just glaring at us for a solid 5 min. Eventually we got up and left because it was so uncomfortable. She is so passive aggressive and unnecessarily mean to people for no reason and it’s bizarre. I think it’s good for bartenders to have a spine & stand up for themselves especially with a bunch of drunk people around them all the time, but she takes it WAY too far and I’m amazed she still...

Jae's Landing in McMinnville Oregon is a hidden gem. This Bar is spacious and exceptionally clean. There are plenty of pool tables to choose from, if you are shooting as a group or just an occasional game, you have 5 tables to choose from. The wait staff/Bartenders were extremely polite and accomodating. There is a large outdoor deck for smokers that has plenty of distance between the 2 main entrances and exits, I did not smell cigarettes, at anytime, during my visit. Between the bar and pool table/dart area is a good display of Oregon Lottery machines for the entertainment side in you or your party. The food is great. I had the bacon cheeseburger and it had great flavor and competitive pricing. The only complaint I would have is the portion of French fries; although they were great tasting. I was recently in Jae's for the first time ever. The owner was completely rude from the moment my friends and I walked into the bar. She allowed my friend to order a long island, and I casually said "may I please get the same as him" and was cut off before I even had 1 because according to the owner I "was drinking somewhere else", however that was the first bar I went to throughout the entire night and it was a Friday, and I was completely sober. The owner then proceeded to watch our group suspiciously for the all of 10 minutes that we were in there before we felt uncomfortable and left. You'd think a completely dead bar would want 5 people to order drinks on a Friday rather than be made to feel as though we were not welcome there. The owner should not own a bar if she gets angry at 5 people on a Friday for simply walking into the bar. She clearly has anger issues and should not own a business let alone a bar.
