Went to this location and bought a cart full of stuff for our new home. During checkout, I asked for bags, was more than willing to pay for them. The lady refused, said that I had big items and it wasn't necessary, though a few items could easily fit in one bag. I explained to her that I wanted the bags because they are easier to carry and considering Ross' carts can't be taken outside, the bags would have been super helpful. she still said 'no' and told me to just bring my car around... It was rude and unprofessional. I wasn't asking for free bags, or an absurd number of bags. If they had carts that could go outside, it wouldn't have mattered, but they don't, so they should be a bit more accommodating to help their customers.
Now, all this being said, I don't usually have this problem at Ross. Usually they try to be as helpful as possible, and maybe this person was having a bad day. While she was checking me out, she was searching what seemed to be one of her employee's bags. My recommendation: if you're searching someone's bag, close down your checkout, deal with the situation, take a deep breath, and then go back to help...
Read moreI use to love shopping at the McMinnville Ross, but every single time I come in here there is a huge line and only one checker. Today I came in for 1 item, and I waited in like for 25 minutes while ONE person checked everyone out. Meanwhile there’s 2 other ladies walking around doing absolutely nothing while the line just gets longer and longer. I know times are rough and we’re all short handed, but there were 2 extra employees doing absolutely nothing. Taking their sweet time walking through the store. And when one was asked if she could jump in to help because the line was long she said “yeah we will get right on that” in a snobby voice. I’d rather go to Ross where I have better things to choose from and where I’m not waiting more time in line then I’ve spent actually browsing the store. Also, the guy at the front checking everyone out was awesome. But you could tell he was overworked and just frustrated. Probably because his fellow employees were being lazy and not helping out. Will not be...
Read moreI have never in all my life been treated with so much disrespect and racism as I was here and I’ve always liked this Ross and grew up Here. I’ve never heard anyone tell someone not to be on the phone in the changing room when I was talking in a normal tone it’s not my fault the changing room has an echo to it. I’m the only black person in the whole entire store. Just trying to shop. Lady said several people had said something when I’ve literally heard kids yelling, screaming, and I’ve never heard them reprimand or tell them to be quiet. when I myself have heard echoes and I’ve heard people being on the phone before, but I’ve never heard them tell them to be quiet or get off the phone so as a black woman, what gives them the audacity to do that to me when I’m the only black person in the changing room area at the moment. And not only that the Room lady was so rude, especially during Black History Month. I am so disappointed, and so disgusted by the attitude she gave me. Will not be coming here...
