This is regarding the groomers and not the store itself. I made an appointment to have my German Sheppard groomed here. I explained to the staff that he is "dog aggressive", he's not really, but he gets excited when he see's other dogs and wants to get to them to play, and a 100lb dog will man handle you if you're not prepared, so I am overly cautious and told them he CAN be dog aggressive. They assured me they could handle it no problem and scheduled me for a "non-busy" time to alleviate any issues with my dog becoming overwhelmed.
Flash forward to the night before the appointment and I get a call confirming the appointment, GREAT! I show up five minutes early to the appointment. The gal asks me "oh he's dog aggressive?" to which I explained that was already disclosed and I explained how he reacts to other dogs. The employee cancelled the appointment and refused due to there being "too many dogs" at the groomer at the time.
I am 100% okay with a groomer refusing to groom my 100lb German Sheppard, they can be intimidating dogs, and that's why I am upfront and honest from the beginning so there are no surprises. Very annoying that my time was wasted bringing my dog here to be turned away.
I guess if you have a 5lb miniature poodle these gals could be great. But if you have a big dog with minor concerns I guess...
Read moreBeen taking my dog to petco for training and supplies. Everyone knows my dog. So I thought I'd get her nails done there today. Worst service and groomer attitude ever.i explained shes never gotten her nails done there before and she is a little nervous. Couple dogs barking and howling. They asked me to step out as it may help my dog stay calm.wrong. I saw my dog hang by her leash at least twice and be handled unceasingly. The groomer couldn't handle my pup so she handed her off and didnt finish the job. She has no kindness nor calm in her what so ever. Those 10 minutes caused my dog to lose her voice and her eyes are still blood shot and red. The same girl was shirt and rude to an elderly man about being booked up and he needed to go else where. I'll go back to petco, but everytime I see that groomer working a dog..I'll make sure she sees me and hopefully others will speak up and no more dogs get the uncaring groomer some are forced to go. She told me at pick up that if I couldn't control my dog, a 5 month old pup who went thru the obedience classes and works daily with the elderly, that my puppy couldn't go back to that store. I want to never walk into petco and see that same girl working there. Moyra... you need a...
Read moreEvery time I visit Petco, Iâm consistently impressed by the young woman who runs the fish and aquatics department. She is always heartfelt, caring, and incredibly knowledgeable. Whether itâs about fish, aquatic plants, or tank care, she takes the time to explain things thoroughly and never makes you feel rushed.
What stands out most is the way she executes her job: with genuine passion, patience, and a level of customer care that every employee should aspire to emulate. She represents the very best of what customer service should be, and because of her, I always leave the store with confidence in my purchases and a smile on my face.
Petco is lucky to have her â and I hope she gets the recognition she truly deserves!
Anyone I know who has dealt with her while building their aquatic dream have felt the same way about her passion and excellent customer service. She also has helped several people I know with there reptile chose and tank building. Dogs, cats, birds it doesnât matter this girl doesnât deserve that review. As we all know there are always two sides to every âSTORYâ. And that one sounds a...
