The worst Bertucci's visit I've had in my half-century on the planet.
the line was long so they asked us to sit at the bar. We sat at a high top. We waited about 15 minutes before they came and took our drink orders for the first time. There was no lemonade. About five minutes later they came by to get the drink orders again. Then they came by a third time to get the drink orders again. When they finally got the drink orders they apologized for the delay they said they had been waiting on the cups.
A little bit later we managed to flag down a waitress and place our order. We waited about 20 minutes for the entrees to arrive. After two of the three of us had finished their entrees they decided that would be a good time to bring out the side vegetables that we ordered. They didn't take anything off the check nor did we ask them too.
To future customers of this restaurant I would suggest bringing road flares or something to gain the attention of the wait staff. We just used our arms to wave. Sometimes it worked!
I ordered the soup and salad. In the soup and salad lunch deal you get unlimited bowls of soup. I had one and a half with about a 25-minute wait in between the two. My beverage got refilled when they brought the check after a few minutes of waiting. They enjoyed our friendliness.
the lady at the table next to us turned to us and said they were unreasonably bad today but that they were always long in there delay. As I was leaving the restaurant I mentioned to the manager that it might be good idea to get their act together. She grinned heartily and told me that it's never like this but that they were short two people. I think if they had had another half dozen people there they may have caught up.We were there at 2: 30 on a sunday afternoon so it's not like we were at the center of the lunch or dinner rush. She did not apologize.
On the bright side I got a pretty good parking space and used a relatively...
Read moreMy family and I wanted to go to Bertucci's for the first time. We were excited for our meal, yet were treated only with disrespect and blatant disregard. We arrived around 7:20 pm, and were seated promptly because the restaurant was empty. There were no more than 3 other families there who were already served and eating. 5 minutes went by, we were fully ready to order, and no one showed up to take our order. 10 minutes pass, still no one. At 15 minutes a female server rushes by our table and says she will be "right with us", not even acknowledging that we have been waiting for an absurd amount of time. She then proceeds to another table that was finished eating and had boxed up food, joking with the children at the table and having a conversation with the family despite the fact that we were still waiting and no one had showed up to even ask what drinks we wanted. After another 5 minutes went by, we simply could not accept that disrespect and decided to leave. In what world is it acceptable to leave customers waiting for 15 minutes before even acknowledging that they've been seated, only to continue helping other customers who were already done with their meal? I am a reasonable and understanding person. If the restaurant was packed, I would not be feeling this way. However, there are absolutely no excuses why, out of the 4 servers I saw walking around and helping other customers in a perfectly slow service hour, we would sit there for 20 minutes without so much as being able to order a drink. I even worry that we were being discriminated against, because all the other customers in the restaurant were white and...
Read moreI went to Bertucci’s with a friend for a late afternoon lunch. Our waitress, Lucy, was fabulous! When the bill came, I put the credit card inside the folder and she took it inside to cash us out. She quickly returned to tell us that the credit card was not in the folder. We looked around the table and floor, assuming the credit card fell out. When we cannot find the credit card , we asked for a managr. With the waitress, we explained about the missing credit card. Instead of offering any help, he was very quick to say that we needed to find another means of paying the bill. We explained to him that we did not have cash and only the credit card and it was clearly lost inside his restaurant! As I do not have my credit card number memorized, I gave him my name and phone number and said that as soon as I got home I would call in with the credit card number. He was very rude and treated us as if we were looking for a free meal! We left the restaurant and as we were getting into the car, the waitress called out to us, as she was waving the credit card. She had found the credit card! It had slipped out of the folder and ended up in the dishwasher when she was cleaning up another table. We called the manager back to tell him that the card was located and he was once again rude and dismissive. He clearly needs to take a class in how to treat customers! He displayed the worst customer service that I have ever...
