I made a quick stop, approx 45 minutes before closing, Monday the 28th April. Usually servers an bartenders are looking to close shop an get out, which was the case at the AC Morth hotel, but I digress. As soon as we walked in, the bartender ( forget her name but receipt says pm bar 1 an 2), greeted with a smile, gave menus asking immediately what our preference for drink was. This is ol school and refreshing from a consumer standpoint. They have a great selection of Bourbons, too many to list, as well as beers. My guest was unsure of which beer, she graciously offered suggestions with samples. I ordered the chicken wings, which were good. The Nashville cooked were slightly dry but tasty. In the end we were never ever rushed, she kept offering her services. Great atmosphere, sport tvs, very clean and awesome workers there. Great selections of drinks an food, it's a cant miss. Highly recommend. UPDATE: 2nd return, staff is unbelievably friendly, a rare experience to see staff interacting, laughing enjoying their job, all while taking care of you. I ordered their chili which was possibly the best Ive had yet. The cup portioned literally satisfied my appetite. This contains more meats, along with cheese and spices, satisfies your hunger.

UPDATED REVIEW (9/28/2020): Visited Longcross on Sunday evening for some outdoor dining. Seems like the COVID protocols and general service were good outside, thought some outdoor tables seemed really close to one another with not much space to pass between. The good: The German Oktoberfest beers were very good, they had a great selection of these. My husband loved his Nashville Hot Chicken Mac and Cheese. The service was good - the waitress even brought our pup his own bowl of water! The bad: The "Detroit Deep Dish Pizza" I received (pic attached). The fact that multiple people at this establishment thought that this was something that should be put in front of a customer is appalling to me. I previously reviewed Longcross as 5 stars (pictures of the pizza I received that time are still attached to this review), but the food I received this time paints a completely different picture. It seems like this "pizza" is simply some pieces of focaccia bread that they put a few toppings on and cook for a (clearly) short amount of time. There were pepperonis under the cheese that were not cooked at all. This is clearly not fresh dough that's cooked in a pan - there's no way the cheese would melt down the sides if this was cooked in a pan. Utterly disappointed in this place. Don't think the beer selection is enough to return - there are plenty of places with great beer selections. PREVIOUS REVIEW (1/11/2020): This place is awesome. The food menu was legit (so many things I want to try), the beer list is one of the best in the area, and the staff were all amazing, given how new it was. This place was running so well! We did notice a dude in a green polo (must have been the manager/owner, on Sat, 1/11) getting short/angry with the bartenders for seemingly no reason (honestly amazing bartenders) which put a bad taste in my mouth. For now I'll amount it to those "new restaurant" pains. But don't do that in front of customers dude.

In 2022, I heard about LongCross Bar + Kitchen on Phantom Gourmet, which I tune into regularly as a fan to ensure variety & quality dining out experiences. Last night, I decided to order takeout as I was in the area. I ordered the "LongCross Crunch" (Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich, minus the Applewood bacon due to nutrition restrictions) and the Jalapeño Mac & Cheese (without the Jalapeños, rather I added some shredded "Mexican Four Cheese" upon preparing to lightly heat up 4 dinner. The sandwich (which included a side of potato fries), is served on a brioche bread roll and was "deliciously flavorful" and "melt in your mouth good." The mac & cheese was also good. / In regards to the customer service, while waiting for my takeout order (which I called in), (3) different people cordially asked if I had been served yet. #ExcellentCustomerService. The waitress that delivered my takeout order was joy-fully friendly. Though I didn't dine in for this 1st time @ LongCross, the atmosphere had a comfy cozy vibe (including their outdoor patio). So, I look forward to enjoying more takeouts and dining in with fam & friends. ☺️

Today was my first time coming into this place and I am astonished by their service, drinks and food. Rony, our bartender, was great from start to finish and knew the favourites of most customers and recommended great choices, such as the smoked old fashioned for us bourbon drinkers. It had a great smoky flavour to it and went down smoothly. Nonetheless, we got started off with a short rib poutine appetiser, and the taste was like a Sunday roast (aka the gravy was on point). The maplebrook cheese went well with the braised short rib (literally tore apart the moment the fork touched it). We capitalised with their famous Longcross crunch Sandwich and that sandwich did not let down. The marinated red peppers were the finishing touch to that sandwich and gave it such flavorous intent that you would enjoy the crunch that this sandwich is known for with portions of tenderness. Overall great first time and also, the atmosphere here for a Tuesday night was not bad at all; the music was great and very diverse. Again, the service by Rony was outstanding. We shall be back!

This place used to be one of my absolute faves but the food quality has gone WAY down. Portion sizes have shrunk, you get maybe 7 fries with your burger, and everything is wildly over cooked and dry/lacking sauce, from the burgers to the egg rolls to the chicken. On multiple occasions I’ve ordered their seasonal truffle Mac n cheese, and it comes out with no truffle bc they ran out, which is fine if they would tell you but they let you pay the $28 thinking there should be truffle. I ordered their new hot chicken Mac this most recent time and it’s about 1/2 the size of the original, but still $22 for the size of a side. It’s really disheartening, and it’s one of the only places open late after work, so I have to keep going, but my last 4 visits I’ve only been disappointed. Service is also really slow most days. I was given my check and waited over 25 mins to give a card (it wasn’t even busy, many open spots at the bar) and finally caved and just left cash. Truly sad to see such a wonderful neighborhood spot cut corners and diminish quality.

First time coming to this spot. It used to be Not your Average Joe's. I really enjoy the atmosphere of the place. Very warm,l and comfortable. The interior aesthetics works very well with their food menu and selections. I enjoy that kind of consistency. My boy and I sat at the bar. We were served by Ronnie (Ronny, not sure lol). Overall great guy! The service he provided was very welcoming and he knew the correct food to suggest To start I had the Short Rib Poutine. Delicious and just the right amount. The gravy was yummy. For dinner I had to have the Longcross Crunch (Chicken Sandwich). WOW! bomb! Lol straight up this was a flavorful sandwich. The peppers add an amazing bang of flavor. To drink I had the hibiscus Margarita. Now this will be the only negative comment I'll leave from my experience here. The drink was forgettable, not much flavor to it and the reposado was near invisible. The drink was good don't get me wrong but it's name carries much more weight than the actual mix. Overall A VERY solid spot. Highly recommend!
