As I start writing this, I have been standing in line for 10 minutes with 9 other people (all from different groups) waiting for the pizza on the lunch buffet to get refilled. Several of the salad bar toppings are also empty. There is one attendant at the counter casually fiddling with some unknown task with her back to the customers, and one person in the kitchen, who is moving slower than I have ever seen someone move in a kitchen. Seemingly intent on moving as slow as possible.
A pizza finally did get placed on the buffet, with the employee not offering an apology for the wait, or any idea when the next pizza would be coming, or even an apologetic glance. A single pizza. Enough that the first 4 people in line quickly rendered the buffet empty once again.
If the cashier had informed me when I paid for the buffet that they were running behind, or that it would be so many minutes wait for the next pizza to appear, at least I could have made my own decision whether to wait, or order something else.
I can totally appreciate what it feels like as an employee to be on an understaffed crew during a lunch rush. What I CAN'T get past is the indifferent attitudes, the lack of empathy, and a management staff that clearly doesn't know how to properly staff or train their employees. On a side note, there has been zero effort to bus any of the tables, so we had to bus the last person's dishes ourselves to even have a place to sit.
I try really hard to leave positive reviews, or give the benefit of the doubt, and having worked in the restaurant industry (namely a family-owned pizza joint) I'm aware that most the time there is more to the story than what the customer sees. However, in this instance, I truly feel this review has been well earned. Another sidenote, we just saw at least one family become fed up enough to request a refund and leave.
I cannot imagine anything that would make me want to take a chance on this place again.
IT'S NOT...
Read moreWe are so sad that we have added mountain Mikes to our list of restaurants we will not visit. We have been customers for many years, with the old location, and with the new location. We were so excited to have one closer to us. Over a month ago we ordered on door dash, and were very sad to get a gross package ranch. We called and they advised if we pick up in store we can get the regular yummy ranch. So this week on Monday we went into the store to eat. We got our pizza and went to get some ranch at salad bar. Come to find out, they now charge .75 cents per small cup of ranch, for in house orders. The cups are way smaller. You should get a certain amount with each size pizza and have to pay if you want more than that. Then there was another issue the ranch was gross, not the same. We asked and they did confirm that the ranch is not made in house anymore when the ranch policy started. So sad, this was one of our favorite places sometimes going once a week. We will not be going back. So sad to see these changes. The ranch...

I was looking forward to this buffet but was severely disappointed and will not be going back.(not that it...
