Honestly if I had to pick ANY fast food place for flavor, it would be Wendy's, ...HOWEVER the last few times I have not been very happy with them (2x as a dasher which I do somedays after work and 3x as a customer)... first I will explain the dasher ones- i understand delays as everyone is short staffed, but I was in the drivethrough for 2.5 hours, now every other fast food place has allowed dashers to come straight in to the lobby until about 8pm weather lobby was open to public or not, some you have to call first but they'll allow it however every time I've been there Wendy's has not, so waited in the drive through (biddle road loc.)from 5:30 until 8..im one car away from the speaker sat there for 15 minutes, all the cars between her and the window were helped and they left...still nobody has responded to this lady...come to find out THEY HAD CLOSED!!! they never said a word to thier drivethrough line even though they KNEW they had dasher out there didn't respond to the box nothing. I did bang on the window till they answered and thankfully the manager listened to me and he fired the equipment back up and made my dash order so he at least tried to make amends.. the other experiences were similiar except for 1 so I won't rehash them just the 1 differentone .. grants pass location, I arrived for the drivethrough and they were slow because lobby was getting a remodel and they kinda looked closed so I think people were just driving by, anyways, I pulled up and saw a group of kids standing around the trunk of a car smoking pot, I asked them if they knew if the drivethrough was open because the sign said it was but nobody had responded to the speaker, they said yeah they were, so I patiently waited another 6 or 7 minutes and then THOSE 4 OR 5 KIDS walked into the kitchen...the ENTIRE staff including thier "MANAGER" had been out back smoking pot and just letting a customer sit there! I get that they were slow and I get that pot is legal in oregon but seriously? Probably would not have bugged me so much if even 1 of them had made an attempt to go in, and hell I may have even told em to go ahead and finish thier break first if they had , but they literally just didn't care smh..anyways...

I had an awful day at work, and Wendy's, this one specifically, has always been my old, reliable comfort food outlet. I always trusted them to make my food fresh. I love biting into a Wendy's baconator and feeling the warm rush of mayo, ketchup, melted cheese, and the juicy burger meat. The salty, crispy bacon. So, after a rough day at work, involving tears and getting off late, we stopped by this Wendy's fairly late. Maybe 20 minutes before closing. We've done this in the past. Never had a problem before. Tonight, though, I was severely disappointed. My fries weren't even faintly warm once we got home, after a 5 min drive. And when biting into them, they were stale. Clearly, they were left out and the staff was waiting to either serve them or throw them away. My burger was also very cold. The meat was not juicy. It was dry, and very dark and hard on the outside like it had been sitting on the grill. The bun was cold, which was fine, but the bacon was nearly impossible to bite through. Very tough. And the cheese wasn't even melted when I got home. Honestly, just really disappointing and quite the let down because I know this store can do so much better. Read moreWendy's is a staple of affordable quality food. I appreciate the original twists offered to tried and true burgers. I like the service team at this wendys. Even as team members come and go the quality of service seems consistent, and the team seems like a fun busy bunch. If to note nothing else Wendys has consistently released flavorful new options, and select items like frostys, fresh french fries, or thier delectable chilli will forever encourage me to stop by for a bite.
Why 4 stars? Hygiene! Stop The food is great, and not the issue! Stop I now order to go. I know not to use the restrooms, and I've only ever seen the managers take the time to clean them. Employees are fun, but a lack of routine seems to be the routine. I remember a time when tables got cleaned moments after a guest would leave, and every surface had a shine. Here at my local Wendy's (I emphasize again) only a few select staff members take the responsibility to keep the business clean. To those few, thank you. To the rest; please help out your team!
P.S. Dear corporate, please provide Wendy's with a new sign. The current one scares my kids. It looks like blood is pouring from Wendy's eyes, and the word quailty is not embodied. For an image look a few...
