Scooped Ice Cream — Restaurant in Media

First time here and was pleased to hear the ice cream was homemade. I tasted the lavender and couldn’t really tell it was flavored with much; I was getting more vanilla. The texture of the ice cream and sorbet was scrumptious and creamy, super impressed with that texture! We got one sugar cone with coffee oreo sand one cup of chocolate. Our total came to $10.25. Prices are reasonable compared to Rita’s and other ice cream places, although I do think the flavors are lacking an umph or “wow” factor; I guess I expected a little more. My coffee oreo had an initial good flavor but then started to taste like vanilla…just not as much coffee as I would have liked. The service was great for a small business staffed with high school professionals. The chairs were very cute but there is not much room inside and can become loud. I got flamed for not giving feedback so I'll give some. The place is generally fine in terms of the location and the service which is why I have 5 on service. The ice cream itself which I think is where most of the rating should come from was unfortunately not great. We were 2 individuals and both us did not enjoy our ice cream. The flavors were strong and somewhat artificial. I think this is likely a good place for kids but not something I'd recommend if you don't want your taste buds blasted. We personally didn't like the ice cream. Oh well. I hope this is enough feedback for the owner.

I'm so happy I had the pleasure of visiting this gem while traveling to Swarthmore. My only regret was not getting the employees name! The employee was so warm, kind, and sweet. We learned about how the family makes the ice cream and had the opportunity to try so many flavors before selecting our choice.

The shop has so many unique flavors! I really enjoyed the birthday cake, strawberry, lavender, and the raspberry chocolate chip. The ice cream was so rich, creamy, smooth and soft and most importantly not too sweet.
