I will say the staff has always been really nice, helpful attentive to customers. outside of the walk in sales pitches. GameStop as a company/store always feels like a hollow and soul crushing place to be. Upon entering, expect to be greeted with, āHi, welcome to GameStop! What brings you in today?ā Which is fine, but regardless of what you say youāll usually be told a bucket list of things on sale, upcoming release signups, and more. Itās Not the worst thing in the world, but sometimes it continues into questions from the clerk about what games Iām into, what Iām excited about and more, and as someone trying to mind their own, it can feel very intrusive. That aside, trying to shop in it of itself is usually a pressured experience as thereās normally other customers already locked into that conversation while obnoxious jingles and game advertising continuously plays loudly throughout the store and on about a 10 minute loop. Along with this, there also seems to be very poor phone signal in this building making it frustrating to actually try looking up any games of interest. Some other issues of note would include, Used games having misleading non available downloadable content, Sketchy return policies on new games, And used games depending on the situation. God awful trade in values! seriously for anyone wanting to make a dollar just sell it on Facebook market place. Poor customer support via phone. Not from this store but from others, Iāve seen relatively new looking employees not knowing how to do some of the most basic work requirements⦠like looking up someoneās membership account. Or running a credit card⦠And probably more that I canāt think of at the moment. Point is, this is a business that doesnāt care about its customers nor about its employees. It only cares about taking your money. While I may still shop here, itās because there are few outside options when it comes to game selection. As I usually am not very satisfied with the experience i recommend everyone look for any other opportunities to buy from a more comfortable supporting supplier...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is by far the best GameStop Iāve ever been to in my life. For awhile I use to shop at local gaming businesses over GameStop. One day I went in to do a pre-order on a must have game and to my surprise came across an incredibly friendly staff. I liked my visit so went in for another game to show my support on how well they treated me as a customer and every time I show up theyāve always been extremely nice. The manager Eric is absolutely amazing and was the reason of me coming back. From then on Iāve started getting familiar with the rest of the staff and have noticed how friendly they all are. Remember everyone has bad days and during high peaked businesses hours itās hard to take the time to be super friendly and also be fast and they really try their best to balance both. I think people discredit this store after a one time visit. Keep in mind they are people as well and donāt serve you just because youāre a paying customer. Youāre no better than they are and just because youāre providing business does not entitle you as such. If you go in with a friendly attitude youāll receive great service such as I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis Gamestop is highway robbery just because it's in the mall. Just go to the one right down the way in Oakville. Also just because you play videogames does not make you knowledgeable in videogames. The employees also are quick to judge you as soon as you walk in the store and if you're dead set on shopping in the mall go to vstock you'll get a much better price and better customer service. If you buy from this store you are pissing your money away there is no reason to buy a used game for 30 bucks when you can get it for half the price just by going to a different shop in the same mall. I just really hate this Gamestop and the stupid ass quick judgement employees who are no better than anyone else that walk through the door. I'll be surprised if Gamestop gives an answer to this. +KatyFray your review reminds me of why this country is the way it is you must be part of the entitled generation and if not please stop procreating just a little helpful...
