Hurricane Creek Saloon — Restaurant in Melbourne

After wandering downtown a bit we decided to grab some food and drinks here the night before NYE. It wasn’t too busy at first but at least 4 or 5 other tables were sat right after us. The owner came around at one point and told us about the menu and told us about the NYE street party coming up. Most of the staff was outside setting up for the huge event at this point. We ordered food and learned there was only 1 cook that night. Even with all the busyness and orders the food came out at a great pace. Whoever the man was back there working sure was kickin butt. Our two waitresses were super accommodating and apologized for our wait even though we knew we were part of the big rush. The food quality was outstanding. It was well-put together and didn’t seemed rushed even though it was the one guy in the back moving around the kitchen like light. I’ve been going to your bar for a long time and I enjoy it. I only choose your bar when it comes to Melbourne but your security guard that sits out front with the long hair is not a respectful human being and makes me uncomfortable to go there. We thanked him for his service on being a security guard and he got very confrontational and angry for us thanking him. We were at your bar all night earlier and my mother went out front to smoke a cigarette and he kicked us to the curb and screamed at us. I believe this man has issues and this is not the job for him. I do not want to leave someone with out a job but you have lost me with your service with this guys actions. It seems like yall really can’t pick people when it comes to security because all of them were not paying attention to anything important and instigating issues that did not...

ABSOLUTE BLAST! Atmosphere was great, service was prompt and friendly! Didn’t eat here as we only went at night.. realized the dancing was so good and came back the next night!! We were told by a few of the friendly regulars/locals that the food was delicious and we needed to add it to our plans the next time we visited. We went for drinks and dancing on the weekend and let me tell you, the line dancing is mesmerizing, and there are plenty of people willing to help you learn and dance along. The staff was so friendly. Security was stern when needed but kept things light and fun! Jimmy was the greatest. He joked around with our group of 14 and made us feel like we were regulars ourselves.
