Ruby Asian Taste — Restaurant in Melbourne

This is a review that is straight from the heart.. When this restaurant first opened a year ago I dined in with my mother and daughter- the dish I ordered was pad Thai.. It wasn’t good. A year later I’m coming back and let me tell you- It was AMAZING!! We ordered the bourbon chicken combos and the LoMein combos and the flavors were fantastic! I’m from California and I know what good Chinese food is ( I’m also1/2 Asian) Ha ha! And I am going to be sticking with Asian Ruby Taste for my Chinese food from now on!! My children 21-30 in ages are absolutely picky with their food but guess what??!! They loved it and made a point to say that this is the best Chinese food they’ve had in Florida! I took the family out and great time here, the owner was very kind with great hospitality. The restaurant offers authentic Chinese food and your standard American chinese food. I had spicy black pepper beef dish and my wife had a spicy Ramen soup with Kim chi in it. Their were lots of options to choose from. The menu also had a section for American Chinese food offering the standard orange chicken, general taos, etc. etc. I prefer trying new things and I wasn't disappointed. The restaurant looks freshly remodeled which is always a good sign to see. I dont typically write reviews but I thought it was worth making, since they exceeded my expectation. About 2 weeks ago I ordered the large boneless spare ribs which are $15. When I got home I tried them and they were rancid. You can't cook the rancidness out of meat. I took it back. I only had a piece and she yelled at me, the same thing over and over again . That she sells that all the time and nobody complains about it and I kept repeating that I'm complaining and that she can smell it. She finally threw $10 at me and told me to throw it out in the garbage which I did. But now I wish that I had taken it to the health department. The rice was bland. If you don't like New York style Chinese food that has more flavor that rice might be okay. The egg roll was good. The service was as disgusting as the spoiled meat.
