I rate less than 1 actually. I used to go here at night around 9pm -9:15pm after leaving work at a nearby hospital. This is the only restaurant I know of that allows employees to actually prevent customers from buying food. After my last 5-6 visits, I know to expect when I pull up: The drive thru menu sign where you order isn’t lit up/ working and they signal for you to pull up to the window. When you get to the window to place an order, they don’t have chicken, they have to drop some and that’ll take about 20 mins. Staff don’t care and evidently management doesn’t either.
I stopped by last Thursday night 7/25/19 after work just to see what antics they’ d be up to tonight. I wasn’t real hungry, but wanted to give it another shot because I’ve always loved Church’s. I checked their closing time before leaving work so I knew they were open til 11pm. Pulled in to go thru drive thru and noticed about ten people, including 1 with an apron on, standing outside in the parking lot talking. 9:06pm. Drove by the blacked out menu screen/order spot in drive thru and arrived at the pickup/pay window at. No one at the window. Saw only one person inside who was a female who appeared to be on a phone on the other side of the kitchen area. Never looked my way. At 9:10pm saw one male with apron on come inside the front door ,go back past serving line to kitchen area for a few mins then came back out. I blew my horn. He kept walking and went back out the front door. 9:13pm Another male came in and walked back toward the kitchen area. When he came back out and was proceeding to go the door, I blew my horn again and he pointed in acknowledgment. About 5 mins later, he came to the window and i asked for three wings. He said, “Mam, we just got finished having a meeting so we have to drop some chicken and it will be about 20 mins.” I asked I they had any chicken and he said no. I asked how they could run a business like this. He repeated that they had just finished this meeting and he didn’t run things. This visit totally convinced me that not only does staff not care but the owners must not care either to continue to allow this business to be run this way. I could go anywhere and have a better restaurant experience for my money. Should be held to better standards and I intend to report to whatever governing...
Read moreI ordered a $20 family meal deal. There was another employee, a young lady to my right, that apparently was on her break and was speaking to someone behind the counter. She was talking and joking with her with profanity as if me, the adult customer, was not standing there. One of my sides was a large order of macaroni and cheese. When I got home, I found that the container of mac & cheese was burnt. I immediately took it back to the store. The manager immediately attempted to give me a new order of macaroni and cheese. I told her that I did not want it and I wanted my money back. Because it was a "$20 meal deal," she said that I could not get my money back, but I could exchange it for another item. She also stated that some customers like the macaroni and cheese burnt and others did not. I didn't believe that anyway. If that were the case, would it not be in order to ask the customer, "would you like your mac & cheese regular or burnt?" I purchased a pepper pack of which she gave to me at no charge. During this entire visit back to the Church's Chicken, not once did the young lady that took my order nor the manager apologize for the inconvenience of having to come back to their place of business. I know the young lady that filled my order had to see the burnt macaroni and cheese when she gave it to me. I caught a glimpse of it, of which, I was going to question, but because she never asked me what my sides were until she took an order at the drive-thru window, I was distracted from the mac & cheese. What happened to "Quality...
Read moreI just stopped at this location 12/27/2024 @8 pm. My grandson and I stopped to get a bite to eat after my lyft shift. Once we entered (we weren't greeted by theyoungladyatthecounter). We had to wait because the workers weren't concerned about taking our order. There weren't any other people in store 😕. Soon a gentleman entered and he had to wait as well. A worker emerged from the back she also didn't acknowledge us. Finally she asked the man what he wanted to order. I then said excuse me ma'am but I was here 1st. The man said I didn't realize you hadn't ordered yet. I replied to him I know. She then proceeds to say, yea I know you were here 1st, what's your order. When I say her attitude was very difficult to over look, but I had my grandson with me so I let it pass. If you saw me standing here when you came from the back and chose to wait on someone you knew wasn't there 1st why the attitude??? I will not spend my money or time at this Church's or any other one because customer service is everything to me!!! I know you're not going to miss my little dollars. But I hope the corporation will re-teach their employees how to at least greet customers upon entering...
