My aunt and I went here yesterday 01/19/2025 and it was an absolute mess. Upon walking in the the crowded out space, of just unnecessary clutter. We were greeted by a very Rude and Arrogant gentleman Mr Matthews. He simply stood there at the register and never said anything, I proceeded to order. I ordered the chicken wings and waffles and my niece had the tenders and waffles, unfortunately. However, while waiting on the food we looked at the cheese cakes, never having had a strawberry daiquiri cheese cake before,we asked how did it taste. Meaning the flavor of the strawberry daiquiri. Only to get a very Rude and Arrogant comment of "What? What, do you mean? Everything I have here is a Hit honey!" along with a really funny side eye. So from that point I was ready to ask for a refund and just go! At this point I have had enough of his shenanigans. So he shortly comes out with a bag of food and says hold on for the other one. So after getting our food it Disappointed, it was Far from a Hit and we will never go back again!! The chicken is the pre-breaded chicken patties bought out of the freezer department of Sam's that are cut down in slices to try and mimic the shapes of tenders just HORRIBLE!! SOGGY AND A RIP OFF FOR $27 for non tenders and waffles that they don't fry they cook in the OVEN, that's what they're known for Oven cooked chicken. This place is a complete rip off and I see why he has no business. It starts with Good Food first and good customer service keeps the doors open. No wonder he's a one person band He's so arrogant and conceited that he takes Pride in being a one person band. He never will be able to have any employees with that attitude. Change the attitude, and the CHICKEN!! If you enjoy eating frozen pre breaded chicken patties bought from Sam's, and cooked in the oven, this place is a must try for YOU!!!! #Fannie Lou's Gourmet chicken 500 Tennessee St Memphis TN. Oan Good luck cause you're...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic black-owned restaurant in Memphis, TN, and I can't stop raving about it! From the mouthwatering chicken and waffles to the delectable cheesecakes, this place truly knows how to satisfy your taste buds.
The chicken and waffles are simply outstanding. The perfectly crispy, succulent chicken paired with fluffy, golden waffles is a match made in food heaven. The blend of sweet and savory is a symphony of flavors that left me craving for more. It's no exaggeration to say that this place serves the best chicken and waffles in Memphis.
But that's not all. The cheesecakes here are a dessert lover's dream. Creamy, rich, and with just the right amount of sweetness, they melt in your mouth, leaving you in pure bliss. It's evident that the chef, Kevin, puts his heart and soul into each dish, and it shows.
The atmosphere in this restaurant is incredibly relaxing. It's the perfect spot for a laid-back meal or a special occasion. The cozy, welcoming ambiance makes you feel right at home, and the decor adds to the overall charm.
What truly sets this place apart, though, is the friendly and attentive staff. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm smiles and outstanding service. Their genuine hospitality enhances the overall dining experience and makes you want to come back again and again.

Read moreI got the pecan paline crusted chicken 🐔 tenders with the waffle.i was honestly thinking the location was moreso, North Memphis but this location is actually down town. The tenders had a nice glaze to them that complemented the crispness. The waffle was cool. He did not have any sides on this particular day. Before really thoroughly observing the location I would say $24 is way to much for 3 tenders and a plate sized waffle. After paying and briefly walking around the scenery, the elegance that the aera bring in the down town district i can see why they are a big on the higher side .The food was good n the turtle chz cake was a hit but I couldn't see myself being a regular because of the price point(which can be overlooked),and the menu being limited to a hand full of items . Was the food good ? Yes . Would I go back ? Of course if I was in the aera I probably wouldn't go out the way, because its kinda on the pricey side&, the menu is limited, but also keep in mind this is an upscale establishment in an upscale part of the city ,Never the less I would recommend u to check them out the food WAS...
