I went into the broom closet around 1:30pm on a Sunday. I lost a family heirloom during the last day of the Smoke Slam event down on the river. I felt hopeless and thought I would never see this very special item ever again. Through tear filled eyes I told the person working at the BC that I needed something that would bring an item back to me. I was shown 3 candles, a white one, a blue one and a green one. I chose the green because I was told that would be the best option and the others would be more of a good luck and good fortune vibe. I was told to keep the green candle lit for 2 to 3 hours a day. When I heard that I was thinking that I don’t have days for this to work. The site would be cleared out with in 2 or 3 days at most. After purchasing the candle I had to go back to the site where the event was to clean out the trailer we were using. When I got there I read the back of the candle and lit it. It was between 2:30 and 3 when I lit the candle. Around 5 I received a text message that someone had found the item. I only told 3 people that I’d lost the item and one of them found it on the floor of a golf cart. I stopped what I was doing and went to pick it up. When I left the trailer the green candle was still lit, I know because I looked at it in disbelief that this worked so quickly. After retrieving the item I went back to the trailer and the candle was not lit anymore. I asked the other person I was working with if they blew it out and they said no and they were not in the trailer for majority of the time I was gone to pick it up. Was it the candle, was it just dumb luck, I don’t know the answer to that. I only know I read the prayer in the candle and lit it as instructed and within hours I had the item back in my possession.

I went there and got the cheapest items I could find and got charged $74.14. Literally came back the next day to let them know this spirit will let me know that y’all overcharge Me. I was immediately refunded $29.03. And I am very grateful for it however, when you tell me, someone didn’t do something on purpose and it’s a whole $30 charge. You never have to worry about my business again. PS if you’re black ,this is NOT the store for you.

LoL I really appreciate the friendliness, attention to my needs and suggestions. THANK YOU. 🫶 Most definitely, I will come back another time when I am in town. 🙏

A Shocking Display of Hostility and Rudeness It's clear, based on the volume of 1-star reviews, that the owner is the primary issue with this business, but nothing prepared me for the blatant hostility I witnessed firsthand. I only spent a few minutes browsing before deciding to leave, not because of the products, but because of the palpable tension and the owner's aggressive behavior. While I was in the shop, I watched the owner’s behavior reach an absolutely unacceptable level. I saw them rip a necklace out of a small child’s hand with unnecessary force, followed by nagging the mother. The mother, shocked and silent, immediately put down her basket and walked straight out the door. As someone with over a decade in customer service, let me be clear: there is a massive difference between professionally asking a parent to be mindful of their child's handling of merchandise, and physically snatching an item away from a child and then lecturing the parent. The owner chose the most hostile, aggressive, and unprofessional route possible, completely violating every standard of common courtesy and basic human decency. This isn't just about "bad customer service"—this is about an owner who fosters a toxic and hostile environment. When you combine this aggressive in-person behavior with the defensively rude, unprofessional responses to online reviews, a clear pattern emerges: this owner lacks the temperament, management skills, and foundational respect necessary to run a public-facing retail space. They are failing both in service recovery and initial interaction by actively driving customers away. A business—especially one in the metaphysical space—should be about respect, guidance, and community, yet this shop is defined by hostility and condescension. Do not spend your money here. The atmosphere is toxic, and the owner will actively make your experience worse. The incident I witnessed confirms that the repeated warnings in other reviews are not exaggerated; they are simply documenting the owner's standard...
