It is beyond dangerous that I live within 5 miles of this place. I came here to celebrate my friends birthday a couple weeks ago and we couldn’t have had a better time or better food anywhere else in the city. The service was quick and very very hospitable. I don’t remember our servers name, unfortunately, but he was very funny and welcoming. THE. FOOD. THOUGH!!!! We got the Cajun chicken tater tots as an appetizer and i didn’t want to order a burger after trying them because I just wanted about 76 more orders of the tots!! The cheese was soooo good (and my husband is snobby about melted cheese and he had no complaints lol!), the chicken was divine, the tater tots brought tears to my eyes. After much deliberation, I didn’t end up ordering more of them as my meal, and I’m so glad I didn’t. I got the green beetle burger (without mustard) with tots, my husband got the bacon cheddar burger with fries, my friend got a quesadilla, and her husband got the pimento cheese burger. The burger was absolutely cooked in heaven…sooo melty (can meat be melty? Here it can!), well seasoned, the cheese was perfect, and all the fixings worked amazingly. Now the time for the age old question: fries or tots???? I was very on the fence (with indecision because they both looked sooo good), but after the appetizer I KNEW I had to get the tots. My husband got the fries. Both were amazing(!!!!), but I slightly preferred the tots (sorry, fries, you were beautiful too). Oh, and for my ranch family, the ranch was also good!! Everyone loved their dishes very, very much! I was able to get a picture of those marvelous Cajun chicken tater tots, but that was before I ate them. Once I ate them, I was in sort of a trance until my burger got there and didn’t take a picture because I no longer had the control to take one before I ate, knowing now what the food was going to taste like. So I just included a bonus picture of the stained glass window inside. I know, I apologize. Just go eat there. You’re welcome.
Edit: added pics of the burgers and the new menu after going back the day after...
Read moreThis is normally the 1st place we go to when we get to Memphis, but I will be rethinking that after our visit on Saturday. The waitress was very rude and refused to serve me alcohol. My fault, because I forgot my ID, but I am 58 years old and was not asked for ID when we were there Friday night. If you are going to require ID, it should be from everyone, not just when your waitress decides to be rude. 2 tables were seated after us. The 2nd couple that was seated after us received their food first? The 1st couple that was seated after us got their food next? The waitress originally told us that the kitchen was backed up. After the 2nd table got their food and we were still waiting, she gave us a pretty poor story. She told us that there was a shift change and the new cook grabbed the wrong orders... I call BS to this one. So he grabbed the 2 orders that were put in after ours, but somehow missed only ours??? I ordered a Buffalo chicken salad that was supposed to have tomatoes, onions, cheddar cheese, and pickles on it. I was lucky that it even had chicken. The person with me ordered Philly fries and didn't get them because she put his order in for just fries, said she didn't hear him. It's a shame that we may not go there again because it WAS one of...
Read moreWe dropped in for dinner and had a good experience. The service was top notch and the food was good overall. Brianna was our server and she was awesome. We started with the Chicken Fajita Tots which were delicious. We then had the Fried Mac Bites which were good also. I decided to try the fried catfish plate with fries. My wife and I both ordered the catfish. We both agreed the catfish was ok but didn’t live up to the hype based on the previous reviews. Next time I’m here, I will try a different entree. Our kids had the burgers and chicken sandwich which they said were good. The kitchen closes early so you should plan to be here no later than around 9pm or so. There is a nice bar with frozen drinks also. Don’t forget to tip your server. Overall, this was a good experience and we...
